Baffled by Texas, UCLA, and Georgetown seeds. Maryland and Notre Dame were absolutely shafted.
-
Was baffled as well. Thought to my self "Does this idiot know his U.S. geography?"
-
I have absolutely no clue what I just watched but I enjoyed every second of it. Narrowing my selection of honey badgers, I pick Stanley.
-
Safe to say the seeding this year has been more outrageous than years past?? JEEEEZ.
-
You best believe I have a honey badger right by my side because...well, you know how the story goes.

Are coconuts mammals because they have hair and produce their own milk?

I give in. I hope we win the BTT.

A little unease before this game starts. I honestly have no clue what I want. To make the tournament and not fire our coach? Or to not make the tournament and fire our coach? Ugh -
Don't PM me please. I don't like it when someone slides into my PMs. Nah, a PM would be nice because it's 4 AM and I'm on BtownBanners rather than sleeping. IU basketball is life.

Would you rather fight one polar bear sized hamster or five hundred hamster sized polar bears?

Potential coaching change suggestions
IUHoosier5 replied to Bryan Medema's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Oh, no I didn't take it the wrong way. I genuinely was concerned that this was old news because a lot of things are beat to death on here, and I didn't want to contribute to that -

I hadn't seen anything until my dad told me what the source said today. I apologize if that was "old" news. I was told that he would be going there to coach basketball. He's bound to still coach somewhere no matter how much we dislike him. -

I didn't know what thread to put this in, but a source close to my family is saying Crean might leave on his own accord for Alabama. Might not become true, but interesting to say the least -
Iowa vs Indiana Official Post Game Thread
IUHoosier5 replied to Trish's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I've been going to IU basketball games since I was 6 months old with my two parents. I grew up feeding off the passion that my dad had for IU basketball and quickly became obsessed with it. I was that kid that made sure he was in the tunnel to high-five the players, especially my idols A.J. Moye and Jared Jeffries. I cried as I watched IU fall in the championship to Maryland. I knew at a young age just what IU basketball was about. There was nothing that I connected to more. I was the kid who wore the candystripes during the school and took the brunt from Purdue fans but didn't care. The passion was always there for me, even during the Sampson years and the rough first three years with Crean. I didn't care. I just enjoyed the passion that the fan base still had. Tonight, I do not know where I stand as an IU basketball fan for the first time in my life. It happened to my dad before me, but I told him I still had hope in Crean and the team. After tonight, I am lost. There is nothing I want more than to completely support the program, but I simply cannot when our current head coach is leading them. If Zeisloft is talking about needing leadership, that leadership must stem from our head coach. Apparently, there is none. IU basketball will be back, but change is needed as hard as change can be. I'm only a freshman, but I crave and believe I deserve to support a team that is worth rooting for behind a coach that embraces his opportunity to coach at Indiana University. -

Sad. That's all. -
I don't care about the weather tomorrow. Many will not be walking to classes tomorrow but word around campus is that many will be walking to the game. I sure am..

The fans aren't going to the games?
IUHoosier5 replied to ALASKA HOOSIER's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You finished my point for me. I was going to get to that. Not as many cherish going to the games. Lot of Tuesday and Thursday home games this year which has led to many students missing due to tests. I have missed two due to chemistry tests... -

I was trying to say that I think that if students can't go, these tickets should be able to be sold to the general public...at least AH will be full whether the GA tickets are all students or not -

Haven't been on for awhile. Didn't read through the whole thread so this may have already been discussed, but selling student section tickets that are GA is extremely difficult because there is one line for GA and you must show your student ID to get in. Not many around campus are able to sell these tickets to others for that reason, which I find idiotic... -
I didn't really know where to put this topic, so if it is moved that is fine. My good friend at Purdue (bad choice on his part) is getting paid by the university to go to class and let one of the football coaches know whether or not the football players show up. He also said there are other students that make sure the basketball players show up to class as well. I found this interesting and wondered if IU did something similar. Thanks!

I have never yelled so loudly during a game. I hate Illinois so much. Absolutely amazing gritty win by our young Hoosiers. This team is going to be dangerous in March. Maybe shock everyone like we did during Cody's first year?? -

IUBB vs. Ohio St. Post Game Thread
IUHoosier5 replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm quite happy with the W. We did not play anywhere near our best game or to our potential, and we still beat a ranked OSU team. I thought it was going to be another ugly game after the 9-2 start. Thank goodness we fought back. Gotta come out and stomp PSU Tuesday. -
But when you snitch on yourself like IU did, there are problems. What a joke...

I think the idea of having students letting coaches know whether or not the athletes show up to class is a great one. The students don't get paid much, but it's an incentive to go to class. The athletes are held accountable. It's easy to handle an issue if an athlete isn't going to class because there is proof. No harm in what Purdue is doing...
