I agree Indiana is in a great spot. His Dad said Hoosier hysteria was amazing! I’m just trying to lower the whole IU is a lock and every getting high hopes. I know I’ve been let down from some recruits thinking it’s a lock from what people said on this board. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m sorry but this would just be wrong at the moment. Do Trent and his family really like Indiana? ABSOLUTELY! However, this recruitment is just getting started and is no where close to being over. I will say Indiana is in as good of shape as anyone at the moment but yea this one has a long ways too go! He did score 45 points in each of his 2 pocket city games today his dad just text me. As for the Purdue lean, way to early on this one. I would be surprised if Trent even knew who was out in front as a kid who hasn’t played a game as a sophomore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doctors when he was in 7th grade thought he would get to 6”10. Idk if he gets there but just what they thought his growth plates were showing that it was a possibility. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m not sure where Trent will end up his recruitment is just heating up. However his sister his a freshman at IU so he will be visiting it often. I wouldn’t read too much into a second visit so early. I do believe IU will be in a great position at the end of this as long as we can start winning.

This recruitment is a long ways away from being an IU lock. Yes the family are IU fans but a ton of people in their family are Purdue people as well. I’ve seen him and his brother Blake wear both IU and Purdue gear. I do think IU is in a good position but want to temper those who believe he is an IU lock. Trent recruitment is just picking up and I’m sure he has absolutely no idea where he is going. If you would have asked him a year ago his answer probably would have been Oregon because they started the cool color/jersey fad and are a Nike school. He’s a very young, excellent, and talent young man and I hope he chooses IU as much as the next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

(2022) PF Malik Reneau to INDIANA

Oh it definitely does hurt. I know a few 25’ kids it would definitely help a ton get to Bloomington if we were a Nike school. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But that’s not what we are talking about. It’s more like 1.3/3 and 3.6/10. Plus that’s in a weaker conference against far inferior athletes. I’m willing to bet the extra 3-4 3’a he might hit on volume 3-4 other shots might as well be a tour over because they are bad shots. Then our defense goes way down when he is on the court so give the other team some more points. I would love for him to be 5/10 then we are in a whole different conversation but he isn’t. And Davis career is 36.4%. Not a whole lot better. Miller Kopp is a career 36% shooter and most think he cannot shoot. So again how is it Davis is a labeled a shooter and those 2 aren’t? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The more you shoot the more chance you have to make more of them right? So yeah volume does matter. I haven’t looked at numbers but I’d say IU as a team averaged somewhere close to 10 attempts per game as a team. I’m just saying his percentage isn’t great for a dude labeled as a shooter. It’s basically the same percentage for his career as Dennis yet he is labeled a non shooter. Doesn’t make much sense to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I mean the average of those number would be 36.25% for his career correct? And I’m not sure how many he attempted per game matters it’s still the same percentage whether he took 20 or 3 shots per game. Dennis is 2% points behind him for his career. Which might amount to what maybe 1-3 extra made 3 a year? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m sorry but if that 2% increase is moving the needle for anyone then IDK what to say. Not to mention the HUGE gap in defensive abilities Dennis has. All I’m saying is you can’t hype Davis up as a shooter when his numbers say otherwise, then argue the counterpoint with others when they are practically the same. Which isn’t a great percentage. So just about the same percentage as Dennis career? Also what’s his career percentage? 36%? I stand by what I said. Most on here have been saying 38% isn’t a great shooter and not what this team needs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just hope the people knocking Dennis for his 3 point percentage are also not on the Mike Davis son bandwagon. He doesn’t have a great 3 point percentage but most on here are labeling him as a shooter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2022-2023 IUBB Roster Projection

I want Duncomb back. At some point in time we need a few guys like leal and Duncomb who work their butts off and become very useful as juniors and seniors. Not all 13 guys can play. I watched him dominate Furst in the Indy heat vs Indy elite game. He has the potential if we give him some time. Most on here want Wisconsin bigs who come out of the woodwork. Duncomb could be just that. Plus I thought he looked good in what little work he did get. We all want shooters but realistically that isn’t going to happen in a year. If you believe what Walsh said then most on this team CAN shoot it’s more of a between the ears type thing. Woodson needs to somehow figure out how to flip a switch mentally with some of these kids because I do believe most of our players can make shots in practice. Obviously games are a different story right now but who’s to say that cannot change? In my opinion it’s our best for our team if Trayce and Race did come back even if that means we didn’t get any shooters. Hopefully the guys will improve enough to be average shooters and make 2-3 more a game. That in its self would be huge. Fill the last spot with a shooter and I believe we would be set for a really good year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Why not get leal, Duncomb, and some of the other bench guys in who will actually play hard? Some of these guys have just giving up let the other guys play! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
