Josh got a reaction from HoosierAloha in The Golf Thread
Unbelievable round of golf. Easily the best round I've ever played. Five pars at Copperhead! I'm so Tiger Woods. Until next time...

93% of 948 faculty voted no confidence, there's a lot going on here.

Everybody off the Woody Wagon. It's time to call this experiment a failure

I was a sophomore at IU when it was announced that there would be a verdict in the trial. Ironically they announced the time would be during a Criminal Justice class. We all went to the class and begged the professor to let us go home to watch it. We insisted that this was criminal justice history so he had to let us go home! He reluctantly agreed.
At the time there were no tvs in the classrooms and no computers/cell phones. Going home to watch on TV was the only way to see.
Watching the not guilty verdict come back while being a criminal justice major impacted my life. At that moment I knew I didn't want any part of that field for my life.

Yeah I’m avoiding the politics and trying to tell you directly I have specific inside info here and the idea it’s about politics and to be dismissive by going there is off, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes in the relations with faculty. That’s all I’m going to say.

It’s been a pro league under the table for decades now. IU just didn’t participate in that and has faded to below mediocrity.
I’m not sure why a player making money has any effect on a fan liking a sport. That would be like me not wanting to have anything to do with the business you work for because they pay their employees.
Go listen to Joel Klatt’s podcast that dropped this morning. It’s football focused but he goes into NIL in the first segment and provides some solutions that are sound imo. And it’s things that I’ve heard reporters from top football programs talk about. So the ball is moving behind the scenes for sure.

I saw so many players routinely pass up a makable three to step in and end up with a guarded 15 foot jumper.
That has to stop. Either launch the three, or try to get all the way to the rim. If that doesn’t happen? Reset the offense. And more movement during those actions. And no more floppys or zooms where the guard or wing gets the ball 20 feet from the basket. Want to run a floppy/down screen? Do it to open up for a three.

For those of us that work for a living instead of living on the board, could somebody please use full names so I can look them up? Rice? Carlysle? Hickman? Who are these dudes we keep talking about?

Living in Birmingham, I'm friends with several former Bama players, and some other VERY connected people. Oats was contacted at least twice. There was an initial "no", and a follow-up attempt as they were rebuffed by their other targets.

I've been told by many UK fans that IU is not a power program anymore. I can't wait to tell them that they're not either!

5 years for 5.5 million a year seems like a crazy overpay. That would make Mark Pope the 6th highest paid coach I'm college basketball.

Purpoo is so unlikable. Edey drops his shoulder and pushes off on every turnaround shot with no call. He shoves opposing players put of the lane when the ball is in the air with no call. Anybody defending him gets called for a foul and he can do whatever he wants.
Gross.
