Indiana v. Minnesota - Post Game Thread
Josh replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Live by the 3, die by the 3...except last night. Thomas Bryant was the doctor that kept us from dying. Great game by him. Defense was terrible. Turrrible. Yogi and Troy had bad games...but IU still found a way to win. I like how this team is playing right now. Even when they're bad they're good. -
(2016) OT Grayson Stover to IU
Josh replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I love these Tampa Bay kids. I wear my IU gear all over St Pete...so you're welcome. Welcome aboard Grayson! -
I'm not blaming the officiating. I'm commending Hayes for shooting free throws on every touch
-
Would have been a charge called
-
All the more reason to to find them ridiculous. Hartman.had a fade away charge in the second half.
-
My favorite BS call (off them all) was when Hartman made a fadeaway midrange shot but was called for charging. Lol...really? Give Hayes more free throws.
-
Every time Hayes touched the ball in the second half he got 2 free throws. Every time. This game came down to whether we could make him miss the shot before the free throws.
-
UR CAPS LOCK GOT STUCK. Hayes just touched a basketball, Was awarded free throws.
-
Nigel Hayes shot more free throws than our entire team combined. Every time he touched the ball he was given free throws. That was complete BS.
-
Two Colts now will make the Pro Bowl, Vontae Davis and Mike Adams. Davis replaces Chris Harris Jr who will be playing in the Super Bowl and Adams replaces Kam Chancellor who is injured. Peyton Manning will be going to his 4th Super Bowl, his second since getting cut by the Colts. Should we have kept him and drafted defense instead?

"But I'm an Indiana boy...I understand the game better than you...you can't boo me!" Ugh. Boo to McIntosh forever
-
I won some good $ tonight. I can't understand why the Pats were the favorites, they lost 5 of the last 8...the money line was good to me.

Indiana v. Northwestern POSTGAME Thread
Josh replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Interesting notes from cbssports: TIP-INS Northwestern: The 89 points allowed was the most given up by the Wildcats this season. ... Indiana native Bryant McIntosh finished with four points, six rebounds and six assists. He needs nine more assists to break Tim Doyle's season school record (157), which was set in 2006-07. ... The Wildcats are 3-3 in their last six trips to Assembly Hall and 8-6 against the Hoosiers during the Crean Era. Indiana: Needs one more win to match its longest winning streak (13) since 2000. The last time Indiana did that was in 2007-08. ... Ferrell, the Hoosiers' career assists leader, added six more to his total (559) and moved into the school's top 10 in scoring, too, by passing Eric Anderson (1,715 points). Ferrell has 1,719. ... Bielfeldt made one 3 in the game, giving him 12 this season - one more than his career total at Michigan. -

We outrebounded them 40-23 One thing I definitely miss about Blackmon...he always follows his 3 point shot, often getting the rebound if he misses. All the guys out there today started backing down the court instead of following their shot. -
(2017) OT Tyler Knight to IU
Josh replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I just found this out today. Welcome to the IU family Tyler! I love those St Petersburg kids. You can see a warming glow around them on a football field, they just "get" the game better than all you out of towners. I swear. -

lol, I like this. We're blowing teams out in the Big Ten. I really doubt that it's sustainable, but I'm enjoying the ride. -

How bad is the weather in Bloomington? Any chance for a delay? It's damn near freezing here...under 60 degrees which means it's gotta be brutal there -
Actually it seems to me that every year we lose games to bad teams. This year we haven't yet so...progress?

There's going to be some serious creaning at UK next year to fit the new McD AA's with only one graduating senior and no locks for the nba. -
Reading the local paper this morning, they're not happy to be losing him http://www.tampabay.com/sports/college/usf-losing-top-assistant-tom-allen-to-indiana/2261613

RIP coach. I was so excited when we hired him back in '92. He cleaned up the Meyer/Venturi mess and produced instant results. Plus he was a very likable guy unlike those two. He was a Colts guy through and through. Thanks for the memories coach
-
Hopefully he is. That means he played well throughout the end of the year and into the tournament. There's a lot of basketball yet. Is OG one and done too?
-
If he doesn't get close this year, and didn't in '13, then he won't next year.
