Of course not. But cheating is stealing from others that aren't cheating. It's not a indication of "wanting it more" it's the opposite. It means you are too lazy to work hard enough to win by the rules, so you break them to gain advantage. Cheating at a board game, on a test at school, in your marriage, on your taxes, whatever the situation, is dishonorable. The consquences may not be equal, but the fact remains, it's dishonest. 
If you are ok with that, then I'm not gonna argue about it, but pretending "it was a stupid rule" justifies it, misses the point.    

Who’s upset? It’s a discussion not an argument. Leal does nothing to move the needle for me. He isn’t a high D1 player he’s shown that for 5 years now. I dot really care what analytics show defensively my eyes saw he was awful and couldn’t keep even decent athletes in front of him. Leadership? Who knows we aren’t there day to day but I do know it takes someone special to get ppl to follow when you’re not even close to the best. If we add him I don’t think the sky is falling I would rather just add Goode and a center. If leal is back and we are any good I don’t expect leal to play very much so if we can’t add a center then it doesn’t really matter.

Question to you:  did you want Woodson back this last year and, if not, did you watch the games?
We’ve had 5 years of the Leal experiment.  If we are good this year the X factor won’t be him.

Leal showed his loyalties when he took a payday to bash the fanbase (that was completely correct) for his crappy coach. He’s a Woody guy through and through. 

Well it's not a good thing to be primarily coached and developed by Mike Woodson.  Mike is a terrible coach who also exhibited poor character here too.
I agree he is a Hoosier.  IU has been very good to him too.  I've got some insight into him (not senior night) and it leaves me not too excited about him returning.  But again, CDD knows best and if he returns that's fine.  I get you like him, probably from a distance, okay that's fine too.
Ha.  What a strawman.  I didn't call him a henchman, nor did I villainize him.  What I'm saying is based on many stories I've heard about him over the years I'm not too thrilled about him returning.  Get a grip.

I guess I don’t see anyone claiming that the team is doomed, just that they were hoping to make a bigger splash with the resources. Personally I’m not that concerned with those optics but this is an IUBB message board and there’s going to be opinions we don’t always agree with. During the offseason is peak time to be overly analytical / anxious / skeptical. The only point I’m making is you can debate the merits without mocking and people can draw their own conclusion of who is unreasonable or not. 

Most fans wouldn't show up if their jersey didn't say Indiana or insert college name.   Look at attendance for minor league teams like mad ants and that is what you would get for college teams if they were detached from the school
