Harper, Boogie, Jackson better than the guards in portal imo. I think. But older guys are proving to be the winning players so, it really makes an interesting debate. I think it’s best to just have depth because if that high level schooler doesn’t develop or work out like you want you have options. Same can be said for transfers, TimberLake, Ledlum come to mind. Yeah, that’s what I heard. And I think it’s right. Prior to this year P5 starters estimated to be 150-200k. Ware, I believe was 500+, but he’s a 7’1 McDonald AA center. The guard spot is a cluster. Lots of mid, mid-upper type guys available. I’m afraid the system elevates a lot of guards. We’ll see what our system affords whichever of these guards we are going after. None of them are that appealing to me. I don’t know what I was expecting. May has HUGE long term potential. Muss at USC will absolutely acquire TOP talent and his 3 great years in 5 seasons lead me to think he will be dangerous at USC. Ohio State is interesting. Certainly seems better than Holtman at the moment but I don’t really trust that to continue. Kelsey seems maybe over his head, but his energy is infectious and that goes a long way.

Tyme is using the 750k number but that was a 2 year number. He’s misleading people. I believe he was a 375k per year situation for 2 years.

You don’t have to convince me. I’m right there, but theoretically as a top5-10 spender we should have a roster that invokes some fear and at least gets respected.

It’s crazy to me, that 300- 500k got you the best of the best before NIL. 100-150k got you top talent. Everything has quadrupled.

For whatever reason Kentucky fans think Bradshaw goes portaling today. He’s an interesting one because he has the skill set but Klutch is all up in that business. Would be another risk/reward if he does indeed portal.

Woodson as a top 5 spender needs to hone in and be focused and get the guys that will make us a winner. No reason he shouldn’t make a big enough splash to get us in the preseason top 25. Top 5-10 spender, no reason not to build at least a top 25 team. Don’t fill just to fill. Fill with a purpose and build a monster.

Really does seem like a great fit though. Hope we pursue. Couple other nice options. Moren can lock in for 2 spots it seems.

I look at all of it. But at some point you are to a degree what your stats say you are. He’s young enough he can grow and get better. That needs factored in as well but we need guys who ready to roll. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

I honestly don’t think the staff has made up their mind on who they want. But the guys we seem to have traction with aren’t very impressive to me.

Kanaan Carlyle visiting in a couple weeks. i shouldn’t be surprised that a staff that doesn’t understand basketball analytics doesn’t take at least some “money ball” approach to recruitng. underwhelming player imo. Another poor shooting guard.

Man, this is an awkward off season. The coaches hate the fans. Most of the fans don’t enjoy the product. The optimism factor is so low. I find myself rooting for success yet not knowing what that looks like with Woodson. After watching Queen, McNeely, Boogie again. They are better than even I thought, but I’m not sure Woodson wins with them. Other better coaches are having better off-seasons. Where does Woody catch up? Tough times indeed. Interesting. Recent USC decommit Perry guarding him tough. McNeely looking rough too. McNeely would benefit in going to a school with a system. I think he’d be crazy not to pick UConn.
