Given the dearth of talent in the defensive backfield - absolutely. Four years of eligibility remaining, was a high 4* in his class, etc. etc. With that said, I'm not sure he matches what CCC is looking for in production from the portal (?) - but thats on CCC to decide.

CCC is now following Daeh on X for what it is worth. Out of pure morbid curiosity, I poked around and discovered that Coach Deland's first stint in Bloomington was 2011 - '16 while Coach Kuntz was a GA b/w 2016- '18, net there may be a bit of organic familiarity b/w the family and new staff.

Unrelated, but it's great to see Race at another game. I believe he was at the Morehead St., Auburn and maybe Harvard games as well. I know he's been working through an injury, but I wonder if we could see him as a GA in the not-so-distant future.

I have CCC with 10 or 11 Wide Receivers for next season's roster as of today, that's usually a good number for an 85-man college roster. Curious to see if there is another domino in the works in the receiver room.

Totally, it's interesting that there haven't been any portal additions to the defensive backfield which was a clear weakness last season - I would expect this to change. The other area I am keeping an eye on are the recent batch of portal offers that have been reported in the last 72-96 hours...looks to be focused primarily on DL, Edge, and LB. I have CCC at 86 grants for '24 as of today, sooooo I would expect another wave (or two) of portal additions from the squad in the coming weeks.

Really enjoyed CCC's presser this afternoon- confident and he brought the sauce. Two questions that remain in my mind, (1) out of morbid curiosity I wonder which players who entered the portal and were greeted with a 'thanks but no thanks' and (2) curious who the 'silent seven' IU verbal commits from current bowl bound teams are, CCC was visibly excited when he got to the topic. I doubt we will ever hear of the former, but the latter is intriguing for the next week or so.

For whatever it is worth, ON3 and Dex's social media pages show a fair amount of interest in Georgia Southern. Who knows where he will end up, but it seems like the right level for him to see the field.
