Is going to be in the NBA Dunk Contest this year! I have never been a big fan of All Star Weekend in the NBA but all it takes is a lil Oladipo to change my mind.

Of the closest bordering country. I've seen it I swear.

That would take at least a few hours of rehearsal to get that name right. I just said it 4 times in a row and I wasn't sure what the end result was. :scratchhead: :scratchhead:

Im not sure that is a great precedent to set at college basketball program. Give kids a scholly then when they don't workout after a year just let them go. I mean what if these kids don't want to go? They'd rather wait it out and see if they can get some playing time as an upperclassmen. Does IU just disregard their scholly and kick me out the front door?

I am also cool with taking a flyer on a big. What I am not cool with is the fact that he took a flyer on 2 bigs and it looks like neither of those 2 are going to see the floor ever, or at least in the foreseeable future.

I heard Danny Kannel on the radio today talk a little bit about Cordell's recruitment. He said that Snoop is extremely involved in his sons football life and recruiting. Apparently he called and talked to Bishop Gormans coach everyday about his sons performance and ways to get him the ball more. Snoop also talks to all the coaches that are recruiting him and has told them that he would like to be very involved in the football program and the development of his son. I would assume that this is why ND has completely stopped recruiting Cordell and I would imagine it is giving hesitation to Sark at USC as well. I doubt too many coaches want to have to answer to Snoop about how to get his son the ball more after every Saturday. This ends my weekly Cordell Broadus recruiting update. Good Day. :D

Clear example of how Crean fails in recruiting.
Feaskb01 replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Exactly. Its almost like he just does it to appease to the fans. I would of much rather had 2 other guys like Emmit Holt, not 7 foot but a power forward type with actual basketball skills that can see the floor as freshman. -

I generally like to keep my Tom Crean hate to a minimum, but I can't disagree with what he is saying. It is extremely frustrating to have 2 wasted (so far, I know its early) big men on scholly on the bench. -
Troy Williams - 2 of the top 10 plays
Feaskb01 replied to bleedhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm not gonna lie, I can only recall one time this year that Troy has taken a 3. Pretty sure he made it and I think it was against Louisville maybe. Anyway, I agree about his ball handling, he improved that drastically from last year, along with his decision making. Hope he is Dipo 2.0. -
Troy Williams - 2 of the top 10 plays

I am not going to hold out to much hope that he is going to develop an outside shot. Crazier things have happened, but I think for now, he is doing alright without it. -

Side note. Troy Williams is slowly but surely becoming my favorite player on this team. I wasn't a big fan if his last year and especially thru the off-season, but he is really forming into a dangerous threat on offense and more importantly on the boards. -
Troy Williams - 2 of the top 10 plays

Man, I was listening to the game on the radio and that is actually the first I have seen that crossover drive. Very impressive from young Troy. Gosh, I remember just like a month ago every time he had the ball heading towards the basket I would yell "Don't worry I'll take it to the rim Coach!!" as he would be tumbling out of control. I have seen great improvement from him in terms of handling the ball and staying under control and hope to see more and more of it. -
Yeah, like I said, take it for what its worth.

Just what I read on Rivals. Most of those guys are pretty well connected with a certain program, especially in California for some reason. But multiple USC and UCLA ppl said that they do not think they will accept a commitment from him. He must be real trouble to have ran those two schools off of him. And this is not coming from mods on rivals, just posters on the Main Board. But these dudes follow football recruiting like it is religion, but are also crazy as hell, so take it for what its worth.

[quote name="dalton26" post="119783" timestamp="1420046379"]All I can say is wow. I though I was looking at a big time college.[/quote Yeah, Mr Fertitta had no problem plastering his name all over the place . I don't blame him thi, that place is amazing.

I went ahead and linked a maxpreps story about their facilities. Its a long story but just skip thru and look at the pictures. Trust me it'll be enough. http://www.maxpreps.com/news/article.aspx?articleid=2b2090c9-ad97-4aff-9c2b-7c8954ac71e8&page=2

Side note on Broadus. I guess USC and UCLA have both stopped recruiting him and will not accept a commitment from him. I guess they were advised to run far far away from this kid because he is nothing but trouble. If I had to guess, ASU will be his landing spot. They will take anyone.

Yeah that school is amazing. If you want to see something amazing, just Google Bishop Gorman facilities. It is unbelievable what they have going on there. They have top notch recruits in every single class there. Current ND LT and possible 1st round pick next year went there. There is a 4* TE who is committed to UCLA. I believe there QB is a soph or jr and he is being highly recruited. Also, there head football coach, Tony Sanchez, also just made the jump from High School to Div 1 at UNLV. Last coach to do that was Chip Kelly.

Stanford Robinson's Role
Feaskb01 replied to Beachfront Property's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I wouldn't be surprised if his playing time diminishes greatly now that IU is in Big Ten play. His calling card is on defense and that has been lacking here of late. He is not a threat on the offensive end at all. He sometimes can get to the rim and get fouled, but then he gets to the foul line and forgets what hand he shoots with. I think the guards IU has now, between yogi, jbj, rojo, and zeisloft is perfect the way it is. If Stan is taking minutes away from any of them, I think it is a waste. -
Yeah he is most likely a lock to USC. He is teammates with a ND commit (Fertitta) and he tried his hardest to get him to ND. There is no way he leaves the left coast. I like the enthusiasm tho!!

I hate playing at Nebraska..It's either there or Wisconsin that I believe no matter what it will be an extreme challenge to win. On that note, I think IU wins this game. JBJ tears it up in his first B1G game.

Tevin Coleman tied-3rd in CBS Heisman ranking
Feaskb01 replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I think we can all agree he has no shot winning this thing but there is no doubt that he deserves to be invited to New York. He is an unbelievable player and is every bit as good as Melvin Gordon. Keep in mind the difference of the teams they play for, also. -
Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but I loved what Troy Williams brought to the table last night. I think he has the ability to be really good and if he can give us a presence on the inside, mainly for rebounding purposes, I think this team will benefit greatly. Another nugget I saw during the game. I think Stanford Robinson's inability to shoot the 3 ball is going to limit his minutes. Guys live RoJo and JBJ and Zeisloft are going to play before him. But damn can he play some on ball defense. All in all, great win for the Hoosiers. It is all about improving for B1G play right now.

I know this is a somber time with what is going on regarding the Devin Davis situation, but I thought I this was funny. Desmond Howard picked IU to beat Michigan today. I think that guy is terrible at what he does and should go away forever, but at least he has accepted his Michigan Wolverines are a complete dumpster fire right now. Go Hoosiers (And Irish!!)

(2015) QB Tommy Stevens to PSU
Feaskb01 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I saw a quote from him after the game that said the visit "was everything he thought it would be and more". That game atmosphere was absolutely insane Saturday night too. Everything that has happened so far is worst case scenario for IU. The schools, football wise, are much different. But he won't have the same opportunities at Penn St as he will at IU. Kevin Wilson better make him his #1 priority and make sure this one doesn't get away from him. Time to show his recruiting muscle.
