Archie, like his brother, is a sleeping recruiting giant. Better tactical coach than his brother according to many. Archie and Collins are the guys that my gut tells me we would really regret passing on 4-5 years from now. If we have a legit shot at Donovan, then we have to get the proven commodity. Otherwise, it's one of these two.

Crean is getting absolutely crushed on social media. Rightfully so. The combo of ego, delusion, excuse making, and selfishness makes it impossible for me to believe he is a "great guy." Great guys aren't sore losers who can't have enough respect to shake the hand of the opposing coach who has been showering you with praise and respect for the last 3 days. A great guy doesn't avoid admitting his faults, while at the same time blaming young men for them. I'm sorry. Not a great guy at all.

One thing is for certain....his understanding of contract law and ability to negotiate is high level. I'm reserving judgement, on Glass' ability, until we know for certain that a change is being made or not. He really frustrated me with the extension and now this NIT hosting fiasco, but I don't have a clue what is going on behind closed doors. I don't trust a single "source" and any information they have. I get the feeling that everyone will be left with their jaws on the ground, after we find out the true resolution. Don't think Crean is back. Don't trust the University to make a great hire. Fully expect to hear some name that makes zero sense.

His contract doesn't allow him to play that game with Indiana. He would owe the university money.

Dakich may be an intelligent man but pride and arrogance can make the smartest seem foolish. Dakich doesn't have a humble bone in his body. The guy was an AWFUL coach, yet speaks in absolutes (as if he's the rain man of basketball) and talks down to everyone. He has serious psychological issues. Have you seen how he reacts to a dissenting opinion? Borderline elementary school behavior from a grown man. Dakich, outside of his stellar play against Jordan, is a total embarrassment to IU imho. .........oh.....fire tom crean.

If this rumor is true, then it debunks the rumors that we truly are in talks with Donovan. We can't be negotiating with Donovan while giving Crean the option to stay.

I'm so embarrassed to be an IU fan right now. Fred Glass and Tom Crean are ******* cowards!! I'm 100% on board the fire Fred Glass train. He's a joke.

Even though I knew we weren't going to make the tournament, it still stings pretty bad. Indiana, with all of the resources available, should rarely ever miss the field of 68. I can't support this team any longer, with Crean as the coach. You can call me a fair weather fan all you want but I watched every single game that man has coached at Indiana, through the good and the bad. I've bought merchandise, tickets, B1G network packages, additional packages when games weren't on the B1G network, etc. Glass' decision here is going to decide whether I support the program going forward. Up to this point in time, all we've been given in return is lip service. The program is not entitled to my money, viewership, and overall support. Indiana basketball is currently one of the least equitable investments I'm making, in both dollars and time/energy spent. I hope Glass shows me (and many others) that he truly means what he's said in the past about returning Indiana basketball to it's elite, blueblood status. I don't believe I'm asking for much. All I require to continue my support is a change. Any change. Anything other than bringing Crean back, will cause me to continue my support.

You guys had to have seen a run in the B1G tournament coming, right? Murphy and his ***** of a law has been hanging around our program for 2 decades.

I can't imagine these insiders are getting 100% accurate information. If I were Glass and I wanted to know who my rat was, I would give each person around me (w/access to accurate info) calculated variations of a rumor. This would smoke my rat out on the other end. If the admin REALLY does want to know who the janitor is, they'd somehow get him a rumor that is very easy to tie back to him when it comes out on his end. It's not hard to figure out which bird is chirping, if you are smart about it. The Alford rumor springing up out of nowhere, gives me this vibe. Very odd that it's the janitor and only the janitor with this information. If I were him, I would change my name, delete my account, or go completely silent.

Gottlieb is a notorious troll who never breaks stories. His shtick is made up entirely of him pushing his opinion as absolute truth. He's OK State's version of Dan Dakich..... he played college ball, so he thinks he knows more than any of us fans. Total dickweed. Alford to Indiana has the same odds of Brad Stevens to Indiana.

It would be right up there with the hiring of Roy to UNC and Pitino to Louisville. Donovan was more accomplished of all the coaches who left college for the NBA, prior to him making the jump. He is one of the few guys that can come in and turn a program around in short order. Recruiting was always high level. It will only improve due to adding the NBA notch to his belt.
