  1. I doubt Roberts would go for that as it'd be a demotion and he could get an assistant position elsewhere.
I don't get the May talk at all. Why would he leave the DOBO position at UNC (his alma mater) to go to the same position at IU? I just don't get it and will only believe it is even truly a possibility if it happens.

May grew up in Bloomington and I believe his fam still lives there

  2. Been lurking for a while. Finally decided to jump in. If we’re willing to wait until the end of the NBA season for Stevens - why didn’t we retain Archie until the end of the season drew closer? I get that retaining Archie would restrict our ability to pursue other collegiate coaches, but if Stevens has been the goal from day 1 the timing seems odd.

Archie allegedly caught wind that he was being canned, which sped up the timeline in terms of his FULLY JUSTIFIED termination

  3. Just now, Artie86 said:

I have no inside connections other than my college roommate from IU. We had several parties at our apartment in Woodbridge in the early 90’s, where various IU players frequently attended. He build long lasting friendships with a few of them because of his job at the time. I am only relaying his text, he just sent me and I know nothing else. This is his exact text sent to me.
From an inside source... Calbert will be named the next Head Coach.

If true, we are officially Nebraska football....

  4. Dolson is a worse AD than Fred Glass and I didn’t think that that was possible. I wish there was a way to get the entire fanbase to boycott and make them play in front of an empty Assembly Hall. IU doesn’t deserve anyone’s time or money.

Oh well, a half empty Assembly Hall gets the same point across. A whole lot of people’s winter calendars just cleared up.

The state of our athletic department is pretty solid actually - football, baseball, soccer, swimming, golf and women’s hoops. The only outlier is IUBB. So one could posit Glass did okay. Archie the bed. He checked all the boxes. He’s not up to the job. Time to move on - suits all parties.
