Kid reminds me of a bit of Will Yeguette, who had a solid career at Florida (and who almost committed to IU).

FWIW, Marney Mooney just started following him on Twitter....

6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers

Time to stop comparing Z-4-3 with AE; Z already has more FG's than AE had all of last year (albeit in exhibition). This seems like a significant upgrade thus far. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

(2015) C Derrik Smits to Valparaiso
Rookie33 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
The way things seem to be going for IU recruiting-wise, are we sure that IU isn't Smits' backup plan? I kid; I continue to believe we will not get a commit until the winter or spring (assuming we have a decent season). -
6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers

If shooting numbers are taken into consideration (particularly from 3-point land), then this is an uneven "swap" (in IU's favor)... -
Priller looks like the tallest one out there aside from April.

Source: 6'7" Nate Ritchie to join Hoosiers
Rookie33 replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Does anyone know how Ritchie compares to Jeff Howard in terms of ability? -
The fact that he said we are "still" recruiting suggests it's 2014, but who knows....
Yawn. Thanks for all of the passed up shots Austin. Glad you're happy. We all really cared
Agreed - we moved on months ago. His departure will have 0 impact on the success/lack thereof of our 2014/2015 season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

How tall is he? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yeah, I think there's a reason they have been waiting to make a formal announcement. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

According to Goodman, Harris is headed to MSU (which is no surprise). Dakich's sources are good, apparently...

Is the Martin hiring official??? It looks like Seltzer will be out of a job soon, so he seems like a viable candidate if the Martin reports are untrue. Also, Crean refused to comment about that at his appearance at Huber's, so there's that too... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

East coast ties for recruiting... Interesting hire, let's hope this hire's as successful as the KJ hire.
-
He'd be a solid hire. Yes, please...

Tony Barbee's name has been mentioned recently. He was most recently Auburn's head coach; before that, he was Cal's main recruiter at Memphis. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Do MSU and pUKe have schollies for 2014 (if he reclassifies)? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Horn would make perfect sense to fill one of the two open slots for assistants at IU (were Shooter to get the OSU gig). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

McClain supposedly is in the final 2 for the job. If he gets it, I would think that Darren Horn is a definite. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

There is plenty of time for things to change, particularly if we have a strong season lead by our strong guard play...
-
In all honesty, I just don't see us getting a commitment from a big time recruit until we show that we've "righted the ship" on the court.

I saw Harris play AAU with Yogi, Hanner and JH. He definitely stood out during the 2 games that I saw (aside from a lefty windmill breakaway jam from Hanner). He and Yogi definitely have chemistry, so that might help us here....
-
I truly hope that we get Harris, but if we don't the sky is NOT falling. Think about it -- we have Yogi, JBJ, ROJO and Stan already. That's a SICK back court and all 4 guys are going to play significant minutes, so adding a 5th would certainly complicate matters, IMO. I wouldn't blame Harris for going somewhere that he'd absolutely be guaranteed significant minutes and wouldn't have to compete with others for it...

No brainer. West coast kid and Zona is AWESOME. Not surprised in the least. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
