Heartfelt wishes to you and yours.  You are not alone.  We are a great community of people with bumps on the road for all of us.
We are all staring in the face of health issues.  And I am not the most sensitive person in the world to express sympathy.
So, instead of wishing you well (which I definitely do), I will say:
I am so saddened that you and yours are going through this.
I would really like to help.  Can I make you a loaded chicken sandwich or something?

This should be year 1, not year 4, type stuff but I’ll be looking for leadership, the off-season work they put in this summer, and the dreaded e and e to begin the season. This might be as telling as any shooting % any individual or team total they put up this season. Is the attitude closer one of cohesion and battling for each other with a few leaders stepping forward or are we playing “Easy like a Sunday morning” style Woody ball again?

We'll bring this thread out of its 2-year hibernation.  What a day for the IU women's golf program.  Not only did they clinch an outright win of the Governor's Cup but they won the whole darn Big Ten Championship tournament!
Women as a team shot -8 at the Bulle Rock course in Havre de Grace, MD to take the win over second place Michigan State who finished the tournament at -7.  In today's final round, the IU women were -5.
Individually, Caroline Craig finished at -7 for the tournament to finish in 3-way tie for 1st place and Caroline Smith finished at -5 to finish tied for 4th.
Oh, PUke as a team finished at even par to tie for 4th place.

A congressman, a special interest donor and myself are in a room. I want my civil liberties protected and the donor wants to kill me. The congressman turns their head while the donor shoots me in the face. As an independent I will never understand why people fight each other over ideologies that were created, in large part, by people that couldn't care less about you or I. Politics have become so tribal that people argue over things to the point where there's disdain for one another when in reality those people probably agree on about 90% of things that actually matter. If we focused on that 90% we would all be much better off because there will never be common ground on the polarizing topics. I miss the days when most people didn't want to share their political views nor care what others' were. This has nothing to do with the topic and sorry for that but I feel better having typed this out lol.

I educated myself a little on Alfred Kinsey. Has there been an initiative to remove his name from the institute like Jordan?

Spent a week in the Grand Cayman's over spring break w/the Natty Fam.  I can't recommend it enough.  White sands, crystal blue waters, friendly people, easy to navigate (once you get accustomed to a RHD car and driving on the left hand side).  We felt safe the entire time.  Food is incredibly expensive however (which makes sense considering essentially everything aside from seafood is imported).

It’s amazing how much closer you are on specific policy if “left” and “right” are removed from the discussion. Starting a discussion understanding the common ground of basic principles you share with the “other side” can be incredibly helpful in understanding the slight differences you might have on certain issues. A majority of the political problems we currently face are due to a lack of communication. Checking your ego, choosing humility, and understanding triggers that turn you into an emotional wreck are important.

I think we can all agree life is precious and the taking of innocent life is immoral.

Likewise, rules are in place for a reason. We can choose to break them but must deal with the consequences when caught.

I am in India for an IU trip and have been meeting with IU alumni here. They are amazing and so gracious. I had a lot of great conversations about IU basketball! One asked if I was excited about Rice!
if any of you come to India, you should definitely meet with the IU alumni here!

93% of those who voted which is probably ~30% of those eligible to vote which is around 26% of the faculty wanting her gone. There would be plenty of public figures thrilled with only having 26% wanting them out of office.

Spring so time to start the thread up again.
I developed golfer's elbow last year.  Kind of thing that can linger for a long time.  Been playing with a compression sleeve and have cut my swing back -- if I extend my elbow with too much force can start the pain pretty quickly.  Honestly, the golfer's elbow has been the best thing to happen to my golf game in years.  Playing more 'old man golf' -- not trying to crush the ball, putting it consistently in pretty good positions and taking my medicine when I am in poor position to avoid big scores.  I'd been running a handicap of around 20 the last few years -- lowest I ever had was an 11 about 25 years ago -- and am currently am at a 13.  Put up back to back 82 - 83 earlier this year which is great for me.
