Just a little closer to no longer having OOC marquee matchups. Bad decision if they were to do this. In fact I'd say the right approach is to go the opposite direction and back to 18.

Don't mean to take this thread off the rails into a discussion of appropriate policing etc., but man there are so many incidents of police over-escalation, violence, etc. and this is an 18 year old kid.
I hear you on the officers not being hamstrung by someone who says he needs to call someone -- but honestly,
1) how often does this even happen (almost never), and
2) police often don't have their body cams active (in at least many states there is no legal requirement for body cams as far as I know), and
3) this is an 18 year old sitting in a car at a Taco Bell, how dangerous is that?, and
4) imagine just what this completely non-violent incident could have turned into when they broke his glass and pulled him out of the car?? This could have turned into a horrible incident, it was entirely unnecessary. Really, really glad his arrest and release is all we're talking about.

God bless it, Gabe Cupps’ shot form is exactly the same on every one of those 25 three pointers. Even when the ball cart nearly runs into him on the right side.
The kid has always been known as a fantastic decision maker/low turnover player, even against the highest level AAU competition. He has also been known as an incredibly hard worker. Clearly his shot has received so much of his hard work and is now hard-wired. And that will translate to live game action, to road environments, to Gabe Cupps being a hell of an interesting player.

This is not a "sour grapes, we didn't want him anyways" post. I absolutely wanted Fland for both his talent, position and the perception of getting two 5*'s in one week against KU and UK. 
We need to be stacking high-end talent in these classes, and especially in the backcourt. 
I wanted us to land Fland. Just making it crystal clear. 
With all of that said, I am perfectly comfortable with a sophomore Gabe Cupps as our point guard next season. I was hoping to have Fland and Cupps together, but I'm perfectly comfortable with Cupps running the show next year. 
I'd even argue a sophomore Cupps has more potential to impact winning at the college level next year as a point guard than a freshmen Fland. 
Now, we need to add more talent in the backcourt. More playmakers, more creators, etc., but I'm good with Cupps

The hat trick is immature.  I’m sure Boogie is great and all, and he’s obviously young but also immature.  
 
clearly he is a slick, skilled, and confident kid.  But  Let’s get a gritty, mature kid and kick his butt in 2 years since he’s not gonna be one and done.  

In it till the end for #1 pg in class against UK after beating Kansas for back to back 5 stars is solid. Nothing matters until smoke clears in the portal next spring anyway.

Yeah, that's what I see.  Just saying nothing happens, just a fifteen minute feed pre-ceromony.

Would love for us to be the nail in that coffin in the near future. 

I honestly like the starting five of Ware, Reneau, M, Galloway, and X.  X and Galloway are both high motor guys,   And if the threesome MM, Reneau, and Ware mesh at the 3-4-5, that is an ultra talented group,  While we don’t have a TJD anymore, we also aren’t relying on the Parker Stewart’s and Miller Kopp’s to play big minutes.

You can bet money he'll claim accuracy on tis one.
