IMO we should not be (nor do I think we are) independently interviewing anyone (such as Hart or Frye) for a top coordinator job.
The new coach, whoever that is, needs to pick his top coordinators. Just because someone is ready and an excellent hire for a top coordinator job in a vacuum does not necessarily mean they would be a good match with the head coach.

Gruden would definitely be our “Prime Time” like hire.

Not tonight. This team has a couple of kids who are legit D-1 types. 39-22 at halftime. McNeeley with 6. Hasn’t shot great, but floor game has been impeccable. The kid can really play. 

They would’ve still won the South Lake game by 10. 

I guess they’re trying to make Montverde’s game tonight a little more interesting by spotting the opponent a couple of points.

With the four part RMK memorial interview series they were zero cringey. Really did a nice job.
It seems that they have much more trouble acting like adults when interviewing da youts.

If you had a dollar for every time we start with some derivation of “The Hysterics were a bit cringey….” you’d have that Battle for Atlantis trip covered.

The Hysterics are a bit cringey in this one, but Liam is not. He is completely all in and is clearly tuned in to what makes IUBB special. The kid is calm and mature, except for when he tries to describe just how much he is looking forward to being in Bloomington.

Made a catch on, I believe, his 1st basket, that was just awesome and he made it look like no big deal. There may not be a better physical trait in HS basketball than Derik Queen’s hands. That kid catches everything. 

Definirely a much higher caliber of opponent but Montverde defeated Huntsville (AL) 78-51.  Rough shooting night for Liam finishing with only 6p and just 1-6 on 3s.  But he added 6r; 4a; 1b.  Queen 12p; 3r; 5a; 1s.  Both played approximately 20 min.
Derik had a sweet wrap around pass in the lane to a teammate for an easy layup and in addtion to his stat line, he also grabbed the mop and mopped sweat off the floor at one point in the game.

Yes South Lake.  I was so tired last night after raking leaves for 6 hours it's a wonder I could even find the keyboard on my laptop.

Think you meant South Lake.  Anyway, it looks like it was a 'preseason' game, so just an exhibition game against a local high school before they go on to play their actual national competition.
FWIW, South Lake actually went 16-11 last year and play in Florida's largest class (6A) I believe.  Enrollment over 2,000.  But playing against a team like Montverde is just another level.

His stock is rising quickly, went from a 4 star to a 5 star by end of the paragraph!!  ;)

4-star 6'10" Sam Funches attends Germantown HS in Madison, MS.  As a high school freshman he averaged 17 pts 10 rebounds and five blocks per game.    He's a 5-star and ranked #10 on the 247 Composite.

In a nail biter, MVA eked out a 118-28 win over South Lake.  If only our Hoosiers could play as cohesively as the MVA team.  I scored Liam with 20p on 7-9 FG; 4-6 on 3s and 2-2 FT.  So smooth.
