Damn, I was wrong already on the Pick Ums. -
Such a great pickup. I guarantee any team in contention would do anything for the chance to make that trade.

I know it was talked about around these parts he needed less than 30 to break Marion's single season scoring record. I know most people don't realize the talent that has been through Marion, but wow. Zach Randolph, Jay Edwards, daddy Blackmon. Who's who in this state of top talent. They have had title teams. I believe last was in 2000 in Randolph's Senior year. It could have been '99. I know that is Huntington North's main rival, but he is a Hoosier.

Damn, I am not looking forward to the game. We are all aware this game could be ugly. Please remember that when commenting two hours from now. -
(2015) C Caleb Swanigan to MSU

Dude is agile for a young big. He will only get quicker and better. I would pay attention to his summer numbers though. Like it was mentioned earlier there aren't any good bigs in the area. Last real good big from the area was Zach Randolph and even he had Sean Kline and Stephens from the area. This kid has nobody. Summer will be important. -
Yeah, I don't want to see any player go through this.

Ceiling For The Rest of The Season??
mdn82 replied to Hoosierfan1990's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yeah man, it is iffy at best. I wouldn't want to put our non-conference wins up against anyone else at 18 wins. Usually 18 wins is a couple of top 20 wins on the road and a couple at home with a tough SOS. -
Damn, this one should be depressing.

Boeheim cost Cuse that game and thinks it's funny

And he has done better in the last 11 years than the first 27 years. IU fans would want him gone if they waited that long in between titles. -
Completely agreed. Him and Stan are going to be really good in 2 years.

Ceiling For The Rest of The Season??
mdn82 replied to Hoosierfan1990's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
We would have to get to 19 wins no matter who we beat now at home, because of how weak our pre-conference was, and how bad of losses we have had. No way around it. If we got to 18 wins before B1G tournament I would think we would need 2 wins in the tournament. We have some good wins, but some equally very bad losses (and we have more of those than wins). -
Crazy finish. With the new rules we will see Junior in the chase. Nascar is happy.

I think most coaches who have the tenure and resume of Boeheim would have and should have blown up. I guarantee that ref will think twice about calling that in the tournament. I am not saying that is all Boeheim is worried about. I am saying that ref should have ate that whistle with 10 seconds to go in that game. I would be willing to bet barring something Ray Charles could see with 10 seconds left, Syracuse won't get a whistle like that in the tournament. Part of the reason RMK always seemed to get weaker refs to be intimidated. On the flip side he had refs like TV Ted who just wanted to show him up. -

Yeah, I think we were still working with walk-ons when he did what he did. Many times during the last couple of years, last year in particular where it could have helped. Sometimes when you have a team that is dead you need that spark. -

75 - 58 Wisconsin. That just made me sick to type. They are at home and hot. Bad time to play them at the Kohl. -

Ha, quit going to games… Or on second thought keep going. Sweet things happen when you go. Crean needs a little emotion outside of the norm. -
I would have to give mine to Troy as well. We were better when he was going to the rim. The defense collapsed like they always do, but he was our option for easy buckets.

Yep. Much needed win. Hopefully it carries over to next week.

Finally. I get to be happy with the outcome of a game. How about that? 2nd road win of the year! I dubbed this one the Battle of Suck early on, and it lived up to its billing. It was not pretty. It was not something you would like to see from a good team. Good news for Hoosier fans! We are not good, so beggars can't be choosers. We get to celebrate for one night, and then look forward to arguably the toughest week any team in America will or has seen all year. We get to see Iowa, Wisconsin, and OSU. That just is not fair. Until then lets talk about some good news. As a team, it wasn't all peaches. Rebounding was an issue throughout. We were playing against a gutted Northwestern team, who has more in common with some of our pre-conference opponents when it comes to rebounding than any other team in the B1G. They have not been just bad. They have been terrible. We have been in the top 5 all year in rebounding margin, and still managed to keep them in the game by not fighting for boards. They out rebounded us 36-29. That is just awful. On the flip side of that, was our ability to hold onto the ball unlike any team Crean has had here. We ended up with a shocking 7 turnovers. We also only shot at 50% from the line tonight. Ultimately, this was not a game we were losing. If we did, people with torches and pitchforks would have been waiting for the team bus. That Northwestern team was gutted. If we do what we did against them, we will lose 3 games next week. Individually, it was balance across the board. Four of our starters ended up with 12 points. Noah looked like he was on his way to 20 boards early on, but didn't have quite the talent of Olah and his 17 and 11. Will gave us 6 boards and steals to go with his 12. Troy did what he should be doing every game and leaking to the rim when the defense collapsed. That guy has some serious ups. Yogi had a quiet 12, but it was efficient. He only had 2 assists, but played within the game tonight. Ultimately, it was a weird game where it felt like we should win by 20, but they were there all night. As much as they weren't scoring, we had issues getting points in stretches. Who cares about the critiquing? A win is a win for a team who is struggling. We needed this. We need some confidence. Like most wins this year, we have enough video to go back on and try to improve. But, we hopefully get some much needed confidence. We have a murderers row of games this next week starting Tuesday against Wisconsin. Until then ladies and gents, lets enjoy this. Lets put those pitchforks down for one night and give props to a team that apparently still has some fight left in them.

There is only one female that should be next for her and she isn't in the UFC yet. But, she just said she is coming down to 135 to retire her. That will be the only mega fight for the moment. I can't wait until the smaller women start scrapping. Some hot ones at 115.
