The bad news: that sucked. The good news: We get most everybody back, including Mack -- who, hopefully, will get healed up and come back strong. The bad news: We lose Grace -- one of the best to ever play for the IU women. The good news: Chloe ran the point when Grace was injured this year, and did pretty well. The bad news: Chloe made some bad decisions recently. The good news: We're a destination now -- and should get some interest from the transfer portal. It's your typical bad news-good news-bad news-good news-bad news-good news scenario.

If Gene Steratore watched women's basketball, he'd be telling us after the break what a great no-call that was by the baseline ref.

I don't think that is at all accurate. It was much more of a tendency to minimize X's value as the season went along, especially as IU started winning without him. The truth is he consistently brought on ball pressure and the quickness the rest of the team lacked every game. That alone was significant. He was also the main threat to get to the basket. Beyond that, simply having another player that was capable of running the team and scoring 10-15 points a night would have helped fill in the gaps when JHS had an off game.

Great season. Tough way to end it. 4 of 5 starters back next year. Keep your heads up ladies.

I think another year in college would really benefit him, but I can't blame him for leaving if he knows he is getting paid. I don't see him being an immediate success in the NBA, but he definitely has the talent. Either way, I'm glad he came to IU. I don't think people realize how screwed this team would have been without him after X went down. For a freshman to show the poise he did was pretty amazing.

Even with a projected weak draft in 24 there is too much risk to return for a sophomore year. It's nice to think we'd have him for another year and the possibilities but it's too risky. What happens if he returns and doesn't have the year many expect? Tha could be a bad look for JHS and the program.
