Kyle Taber. 5 seasons, four coaches. Initially a walk on, ended up as a scholarship player.

Of recent. Max Hoetzel/Montana Grant Gelon 2 of the most obscure recruitments I’ve witnessed.

We certainly don’t want JG and Race shooting more threes. Bates and Galloway and maybe Gunn will be getting minutes that X had so I expect that that combo will shoot more threes than X did.

Our more…ahem, experienced…posters will be able to come up with more obscure names than us whippersnappers. I’ll throw Austin Etherington’s name into the ring.

A continuation on this. Their guards last night came out past the three point line to guard aggressively with proper stance and hand position. Smaller and less athletic but far superior basketball technique. I don’t know if it was #1 or #21 but we haven’t had a guard defend like that in eons. (Xavier was close) We are so passive on defense. Almost like we are playing a zone with the help side. And I understand help side. But individually seeing proper stance, hands, and aggressiveness is refreshing. Simple basic stuff. We had guys closing out with narrow stances and hands not out or up but just at their sides, as entry passes go around them. I don’t get it. Basic stuff.

Ended up at 139 in his class on 247, so not a total nobody, but I’m not sure about as an underclassman. I think his brother may have been a bit higher rated especially early on?

Athletes not caring about going to class was far from exclusive to Sampson. I and some of my friends had classes with IU basketball players, and even the ones you’d expect to care would rarely show up. He’s got Houston rolling. #3 in the country. Could’ve been doing it here but IU was too self-righteous.

And a great kid on top of that! They seem to have a great culture in that locker room, as well. Don't they have a bunch of draft picks in 23?

    IUFB & The NIL Variable

I sure wish some would get involved as opposed to what we have now. Unfortunately, I have a hunch IU’s business savvy alumni might realize setting a couple million a year on fire in the backyard might be a better use of their money than giving it to IU football.

And we're sitting here wondering if IU could drop 275k on Emory f'n Jones lol.
