Paying for Peacock doesnt bother me. Paying $10 a month for a shitty BTN+ service that uses 20 year olds as commentators and one camera angle.... pisses me off.

The proof for me will be in the execution. If this turns into a play to force more subscriptions to Peacock, I won't be happy. As bad as cable tv was, and I'm glad I left it, streaming services have the potential to be worse as things become more fragmented. Give me channel 4 and a set of rabbit ears.

A 3:30 IU football game in Bloomington on CBS is a real possibility. COME ON TOM NO MORE 2-10 SEASONS

To each their own. Everyone in the industry knew the players deserved a piece of the pie. Thus Nil as the intermediary because the cat was fully out of the bag. We didn’t need to play the game with the same strategy as Kentucky but we needed to be in the game. Our program has been a self righteous loser for the most part of 25 years, setting innumerable record program lows. Kentucky wasn’t even close to the only one in the game.

I don’t have Peacock currently, but I’ll be happy to subscribe when I need to. It’s got a TON of content on it from big movies and TV shows to Indycar, major golf, EPL, and all WWE PPVs. Add B1G sports to that and it’s a big fat hell yes from me. Never have and never will subscribe to B1G+. I’d get more value by just setting a crisp Alexander Hamilton on fire in my backyard on the 1st of every month.

We’ll see how ESPN approaches Game Day and if Big Ten schools are not considered as host sites anymore, even if ESPN isn’t airing the actual game. However, I think that the Big Ten will still get enough coverage during the Game Day segments for no other reason than both Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard are Big Ten homers. If not, maybe they both get frustrated they can’t talk about their schools and hop to FOX to team up with Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt for a new game day format. This may shape up to be akin to the WWF/WCW ratings wars of the late 90s.

You are only looking at football and men's basketball but that money pays for all of the other sports as well

I think the NBC part of the deal is going to be fantastic. Their NFL and Notre Dame coverage has been top notch. From The Athletic: "Bevacqua said NBC will have a dedicated Big Ten football broadcast and production team, and that will include a pregame show. He said his group is currently discussing talent possibilities but it’s way too early for any names. One thing NBC people are very excited about — there will be Saturdays where Notre Dame leads into a Big Ten primetime game which leads into “Saturday Night Live.” That’s a lot of name brands." They'll have B1G basketball too obviously, which will be their first big time basketball in what I would guess is a really long time.

I’m sure everyone drives the speed limit, never rolls through that stop sign in the middle of nowhere, and always abides by every law no matter what others around them do. We didn’t even follow all the rules. Some of our best over the past decade got some spending money or other extras. It’s just we tried to play the holier than thou game and sucked. I read the Children's Blizzard by Melanie Benjamin. It is a Historical Fiction novel set during the Blizzard known as the Children's Blizzard on January 12, 1888 in the Dakotas and Nebraska. The characters are fictional of course, but the Author follows the timeline concisely. It started slow, but it didn't take long to really enjoy it. I highly recommend it if you enjoy Historical Fiction. There is a nonfiction book by the same name. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I get it that some don’t like the “idiosyncrasies” of the Hoosier Hysterics guys however….the other day I was at the gym and put on their most recent podcast that was with Lawrence Frank and it is awesome with a capitol A. Frank is very entertaining, his career path is insane, he WORSHIPS RMK, and gives a lot of insight about the Calbert years (Frank was a student manager then and was also Calberts, along with Chris Reynolds, roommate), the players and RMK’s coaching style. Check it out.

I think we win that Cincy game if college refs weren't an absolute joke and don't eject McFadden from the game. They scored right after that and the game was essentially over from there.
