Archie knows less about basketball than I know about quantum physics. I'll go ahead and guarantee we don't finish 5th just because he said we would. I hope he has to give every penny he made from this podcast back to IU per buyout rules Screw Archie Miller Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Archie and Hummel...a truly excellent analysis of the B1G for the upcoming season. First interesting takeaway from Archie: MSU doesn't have an apparent first or second team All-B1G player. Says teams without a first or second all-conference player rarely will contend. Second interesting takeaway: Hummel loves the addition of Durr. Archie thinks that Parker Stewart and X Johnson are the most productive twosome added by any team in America. Archie actually said he believes that Parker and X could step in and be all-conference type players. Both are very high on the Hoosiers--Archie has them fifth. Third interesting takeaway (that me and my kid were discussing last night): Just because Mike Smith crushed it at the point for UM last year does NOT mean that UM and MSU will re-create that with their small school transfer projected point guard starters this year. All league teams: Archie: Kofi Dickinson TJD Liddell Trevion Williams Hummel: Kofi Liddell Dickinson Curbelo Ivey

(2023) - SG Jakai Newton to INDIANA

Was just perusing his Mom’s Twitter feed. She is objectively great and they appear to be a pretty spectacular family. Has a Master’s in Psychology and runs a non-profit that works with families of kids with disabilities. Just good, good folks. Getting happier about this one all the time.

On paper, tonight's match should be over early. Live Stats A red-hot Indiana men's soccer team (9-3-1, 4-2-0 B1G) returns to Bill Armstrong Stadium Wednesday (Oct. 20) night to host non-conference opponent Evansville (1-10-1, 1-4-1 MVC) at 7 p.m. ET. SETTING THE SCENE • Indiana men's soccer is in its best stretch of the season so far, winning six of its last seven and recording four straight shutouts. • Indiana is 5-1-1 against non-conference opponents this season. • IU is coming off four straight wins, including back-to-back wins against Big Ten opponents. Last week, the Hoosiers beat Ohio State, 3-0, at home on Tuesday, before grabbing another three points against Penn State on the road on Sunday. Indiana faces Evansville Wednesday before another important conference matchup against Wisconsin on Sunday. ABOUT THE PURPLE ACES • Evansville is led by seventh-year head coach Marshall Ray. He owns a 31-71-15 record during his time with the Purple Aces. • Evansville's lone win came in a 2-1 Missouri Valley Conference win over Bradley on October 9. • Sophomore midfielder Pablo Guillen leads the Purple Aces in scoring, owning three of the team's nine goals so far this season. Redshirt junior Jakub Hall has contributed a team-high three assists. • Redshirt junior goalkeeper Jacob Madden has appeared in goal in nine of 12 matches for Evansville and leads the team in goals allowed average (2.28) saves (45) and shutouts (1). SERIES HISTORY • Indiana has traditionally dominated the series between in-state opponents, holding a 31-4-3 record in the series history. • IU has won 17 straight matches against the Purple Aces spanning back to 1996. The Hoosiers are also undefeated against Evansville in 21 consecutive matches, a streak that stretches back to the 1992 season. • In their last five meetings, Indiana has outscored Evansville 19-1. DOMINANT DEFENSE • The Indiana defense has posted four consecutive clean sheets and seven total shutouts this season. • The Hoosiers have not allowed a goal in 390 minutes of play. • Indiana student-athletes have earned the last two Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week awards, as junior goalkeeper Roman Celentano (Oct. 19) and redshirt junior defender Daniel Munie (Oct. 12) have played key roles in IU's defensive dominance. • Senior defender Nyk Sessock was featured on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Tuesday (Oct. 19) for his contributions to the shutout streak as well as his cross that forced the own goal in Indiana's 1-0 win over Penn State on Sunday (Oct. 17).

FWIW Comer isn't a Big Ten talent. IUPUI and that level a better fit and UIndy or Marian would be better. Having coached a lot against him and having seen true D1 kids, he's not quite at that level.

Game Thread: vs. Ohio State - 7:30pm - ABC

Burn as much clock as possible on offense. Make them work for their points, hopefully with long time consuming drives. Try to get out of the game with no worse than a 35-3 loss. Depression has set in.

    Interesting - Sagarin

http://sagarin.com/sports/cfsend.htm Indiana at 47. Look at strength of schedule. Did anyone ever think Indiana University would play the toughest schedule in the country? And we have Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State left. No way we drop very far in that category. Indiana, for all the success and positive energy/direction cannot consistently win playing a schedule like we're forced to year in and year out. The Big Ten divisions are a complete joke. I don't know what can be done and know nothing WILL be done, but I said a long time ago 7-5/8-4 was likely Indiana's consistent ceiling save an anomaly from time to time. This is crazy. SOS in football, IU #1 roughly half way through the season. Wow.

Like others I took it as the former. Kids making fun of the weird things their dad says. I suspect this pluralization gets mimicked when Woody is not around.

    IUBB 2021 General Off-Season Thread

I hope it was #1 because #2 would mean that not only Galloway isn't picking up his game but that he's being mocked about it. That doesn't seem like the positive atmosphere we're being otherwise shown. My guess that it is #1 and TJD is just laughing at the idiosyncrasies in Woodson's speech like referring to himself in the third person or, in this case, pluralizing Galloway's and Geronimo's names, as you said.
