That is sad. I'll continue to follow my dad's advice "support and watch your team win or lose". Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

That’s why winning that grinder of a game was so important. Winning that game gave IU a little cushion moving forward where they can afford to take a loss and still be in pretty good shape. End up losing that game and IU is in a different conversation today. Still got to take care of home but they are in decent shape as far as making the tournament. I have them a 9 seed today.

I, and likely many others, desperately hope you take your coaching talents to either Purdue or Kentucky some day. Please let me know if I can ever put a word in. I may even proactively do it. Thank me later.

As it would stand now IU would of played 9 (10 if they make up Michigan) games against teams I had in consideration for a top 4 seed before IU entered the conference tournament.

Archie vs Holtman. I’d prefer we decide the game with a coaches Free Throw competition than with the players on the court.

Moeller hosting St. Xavier in its final game of the regular season. Moeller opens tournament play against Little Miami at 3:00 on Saturday the 20th. Don't know what Moeller's problem was tonight but it fell behind early and trailed by 13 at the end of 3 quarters before mounting a 4th Q comeback but still fell short losing 51-46. Duncomb played 25 min. scoring 11 pts. on 4-12 FG; 3-6 FT; 7 reb; 3 asst; 2 stl; 1 blk; 0 TO. Evan Mahaffey played 27 minutes scoring just 1 point; 3 reb; 5 asst; 3 stl; 5 TO.

It's impossible to understand what possibly could have been going on in her mind that made the future so impossible to contemplate. A life is such a fragile thing and such a tragedy when it ends so soon. My thoughts and sympathies are with her family and friends. I hope that they can find some peace.

    General Coach Candidate News

Anyone that has ever coached will tell you to call a timeout to make sure everyone is on the same page. Also to let the officials know what you are going to do. That's why it wasn't and shouldn't have been called a shooting foul. Officials know that no one is attempting a half-court shot when there is time left. Same reason they don't call an intentional foul on a breakaway layup.

With 10 points and 14 rebounds, he is in the midst of his second three-game double-double streak of the season. He has twice been named Big Ten Player of the Week. His most dominant performance this season was a 25-point, 17-rebound effort at Florida State. He had a career-high 31 points in the win over Stanford in the 3rd place game at Maui. He had 23 points at Iowa and had 19 points and 14 boards against Illinois. He followed that up with 17 points and 12 boards against the Hawkeyes on Sunday. That's one way to look at it. The other, feel the bad so when the program is good again you can appreciate it. It's easy to just not tune into the games now and say you don't care. That's fine but it's not for me. When the program is good again and one has actually endured the bad, they'll be much more appreciative. They'll also understand how quickly it can be taken away. I'm not trying to tell anyone what they should do or how they should feel. It's just easy to be on board when things are good and jump off when things are bad. That's not how I'm wired.

Agreed. And I'm not sure why they do a cut down either. I guess there still could be some unexpected stuff happen, like outbreaks at the conference championships. Going to be really fun if it stays 64/68 IMO. I could see several small conference schools going deep.

Yeah definitely the road record out weighs the bad home record. Only bad loss of the bunch is to Northwestern. Those home losses just hold back IU from being a team competing for a top 5 seed(1-20) to a team that is still a tourney team but competing for a lower seed. Definitely an odd year. As bad as IU has looked at times this year the only 2 games that they didn’t have chance to win during the last 5 min of a game was Texas and Purdue. I wouldn’t worry about them shrinking the tournament down. I fully expect it to be the full 68 bracket of teams. I’m not sure why Lunardi does a bracket for the limited number of teams. Going to be a fun couple of weeks starting with championship week ( my second favorite week of college basketball)

For the B1G it is likely to hinge on which option is better for Ohio State. ;)
