Not specific to our team or coach, but the writing is eventually on the wall for the majority of coaches eventually. After the game the other night I was reminded of the Jud Heathcote joke about "the two envelopes" : "When I got to MSU Gus was cleaning out his desk. As he left, he said he left me two envelopes, each containing a three word message. Gus told me not to open the envelopes unless things were not going well." "Well, sure enough after the first year things were bad, so I opened the First envelope and read the three words: "blame your predecessor". So I told the press and alumni that the cupboard was bare and I needed more time." " A few games into the second year things were bad again. Out of desperation, I opened the second envelope. It also contained three words; "Prepare two envelopes."

    Thankful 2020

I am thankful that both IU basketball and football visit Florida this year. I was able to see IU basketball live for the first time in 3 years, and I'm going to an IU football game for the first time in decades. (That makes me feel old) I'm also thankful for the health and prosperity of my family. Merry Christmas everyone

We have Bardo for a game against Illinois? Probably gonna have to listen to Fisch while watching this one

Don't you know that if you shrug off a loss and aren't mad for days about it or don't speak critical of them every game, even when they play well, then you are ok with mediocrity? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

I loved working from home. Being in sales 2020 was hard but God opened doors and really helped me have a very good sales year. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

I'm taking this tweet as an indication she's enrolling for the 2nd semester. Paige Price @paigepriceaus australia -> indiana

After reading through some of his tweets, I never thought I'd say this, but Priller is a moron.

My enthusiasm level for starting this thread isn't very high but someone has to get it started right? As of 9:00 this morning line favors the Illinois by 7.5, o/u 145.5. Brandon Gaudin and Stephen Bardo will call the game on FS1. We've not started out 0-2 in B1G play since 2013-2014. Illinois is (6-3) (2-1) coming into today's game. Tunein Radio WHCC radio Live Stats

Happy holidays folks....I appreciate all of your passions (iu and otherwise ) and all the friendly ( and even not always friendly ) debates and discussions. It’s been fun to follow the last few years. Everyone enjoy your friends and family and go iu, go Blackford , go basketball in general

    Thankful 2020

I'm a sunshine pumper, but I'll gladly admit that 2020 sucked However, there are positives with any situation, and it's in my nature to find them. Thought it might be therapeutic to list some things that we're thankful for, as we gently escort 2020 out, and welcome 2021 in! Very thankful that my wife and I have jobs that are not at risk during this pandemic! Thankful that my daughters (17 and 20) are both at home with us, and we're thrilled with that Thankful that, through differences of opinion, political and otherwise, I can maintain friendships.

Agreed! The commute for the last 9 months has been wonderful. Being able to spend time at home w/the family during lunch breaks and not being stuck in rush hour traffic in the evening. It has been a blessing in that regard.

Be careful what you ask for. I think if we move on from Archie, Dolson will hire Alford. They were at IU at the same time, Dolson a manager while Alford played. No inside info, just trying to connect some dots. Not saying that’s who I’d go for, it’s what I think will happen.

If I'm being honest, I wish I could've gotten my college paid for to do nothing except make sure the bench doesn't fly away.

Holy cow, wasted 15 seconds getting the ball up the court and figuring out what play to run. The ball and offense just dies when Rob is in, simple as that. Hate to say it, but the results are troubling

The year is 2020. Northwestern has a Big Ten West Football champion and a men’s basketball team in the B1G driver’s seat. Normal!

Saban left because he wasn't succeeding in Miami. Stevens and Donovan have been good in the NBA.

Why ya gotta be so Debbie Downer-istic? It’s no fun at all! (and PLEASE don’t respond to this post with sumthin like “if IU/Archie/Durham gave me something to be happy about”...)

Agreed. Who cares about his age. He wins in March.

The difference is, and what MSB doesn't realize, is that Knight wanted to win more than anyone -- players, admin, students, etc. And he not only the will to win, but more importantly the will to prepare to win. Knight wasn't affraid to use the bench, doghouse and even worse to motivate the players. Maybe someone should play him the "Greg Graham" tape.

Ever since I was a kid, anytime I have been able to watch IU play, I have always been excited to watch the greatest sport ever. That doesn't mean I am ok with mediocrity. That doesn't mean I don't want more B1G Championships. It doesn't mean I don't want to be in the Tournament every year and make it to the Saturday or Sunday of the 2nd weekend and beyond. All of those would make it even more exciting. I figured out a few years ago that I should always be excited about the things I love because you never know when your time is through. Merry Christmas to all of you. We may not always agree with each other about players, coaches, etc, but we all have 1 thing in common, our love for IU Basketball.
