I think you’re talking about Enes Kanter, who never played because he had been paid as a pro overseas (shocker).

I think Kentucky had one that practiced for a year and went pro without ever playing. I don’t want us to do things like Kentucky.

I can't remember if it was in a podcast with Fish or during his B1G media day interview, but Archie said he thought Franklin could be ready to have a big season.

Looks as if Ramsey is QB1 for the Wildkitties. Who'dve thunk that one day, IU would have two starting Big Ten QBs!

(2021) SF - Aminu Mohammed to Georgetown

Diallo is the only early enrollee I can think of they had. He ended up coming back. I can very well be missing someone.

Eric Bossi - One of the most high priority recruits left in the class of 2021, power forward Trey Kaufman who ranks No. 31 on 247Sports has set his commitment date. Ranked No. 31 overall by 247Sports and No. 41 in the industry generated 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Sellersburg (Ind.) Silver Creek has set a decision date of October 30th per his Instagram. His mother also confirmed the decision date with Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com. So, we know the when of skilled forward's decision and we have known for a while that he is down to Indiana, Indiana State, North Carolina, Purdue and Virginia. Kaufman has taken official visits to both IU and Purdue and he recently took trips out to see UNC and UVA even though the current dead period for recruiting meant that Roy Williams, Tony Bennett and and their staffs were unable to meet with Kaufman while on campus. For a while now, this one has looked like it will come down to the two Big Ten programs in his home state. The thought has long been that Kaufman would want to stay close to home and both programs -- Logan Duncomb for Indiana and Caleb Furst for Purdue -- have already landed commitments from big men that Kaufman would fit with and who would allow him to play more facing the basket like he would prefer on the college level. So will it be the Hoosiers or Boilermakers? Judging by the Crystal Ball, that answer is unclear. Indiana has al of his votes, but only two individuals have dared to make a pick. Personally, I lean in the direction of Kaufman making his way to Bloomington as well, but at the end of the day this one is still a bit too close to call.

Doesn't that potentially risk shutting the whole conference down if one infected dude walks into that bubble?

(2021) SF - Aminu Mohammed to Georgetown

He's already made people aware that if the HS season over here looks to be heading towards cancellation he'll move up his timetable.

I honestly wonder how that would work if he is still determining to be an early enrollee. The way it has been sounding he was waiting to announce during one of their high school events round the Christmas season. Would absolutely love to have him as an early signee, let alone an early enrollee. Him, Kaufman, and Lander would be too much for this old guy to handle these days.

(2021) PF Trey Kaufman to Purdue

I selfishly hope it’s IU because I coached him and I love IU, but also too I want IU “the program” to benefit from having Trey as part of their family. He’s such a great person to be around, one of the most unique and mature teenagers you’ll ever know. IU’s tradition will be better for having him (if they get him). So I want IU to benefit from that and not PU! But if it is PU, they’re getting a great dude. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Here is a quote from Jerry Meyer of 247 answering a question regarding Aminu Mohammed and Trey Kaufman: What do you think the likelihood is that IU gets both Trey Kaufman and Aminu Mohammed? - Rob Lunder @rlunder18 Too early and too little concrete info to give a definitive answer to this question. Indiana is very much in the mix with both prospects and perhaps the leader at the moment, but that is as much as I can give you at this moment. My take is that both prospects are still working through their options and do not have their minds made up. Yes, I like Indiana’s chances with both of them, but that is as much as I can say.
