You're darn right. :) -
7 pointsFor me? Calbery Cheaney (It's in Calbert's court as to whether he'd want to come back). Mike Miller (now there's a true top tier recruiter).

East coast recruiting. Scouting every third game. Worked with big men till Mike Roberts got here. Just a veteran assistant who ran things by Archie or helped with some in-game situations. Also, a nice guy who enjoyed a good glass of wine around Bloomington. -

People need to learn to live with this. If you are worried for your health, don’t participate in sports and life. Let the others live their lives educated of the risks. I had an “eloquent” post about our litigious society recently that explains why we can’t do anything anymore. But it’s since been deleted. -
4 pointsYup...Trey was quoted in The Daily Hoosier piece that he is very aware of the need for quality teammates.Without in-person visits, not just thinking they might have good kids at (for example) UNC, but knowing that Rob, Armaan, Trey, Anthony, and Kristian are high-level human beings, is huge.

Mason Miller may not have a high school season. If dad went to IU, Mason might be able to join him in January as a red-shirt who practiced with D1 players. Anyway, that's a hope, not an expectation. -
3 pointsDave Ragland is a name I've seen tossed around along with Jamall Walker. Don't know either. I don't think we need an IU guy but I will reach out to see what some former players who are now coaching think, one in particular. I think Mike Miller left Memphis to become his sons high school coach, so not sure he would be interested.

I don't think there is a coach on our staff that is not replaceable. If there was one it would be Tim Garl. You won't find another trainer who does more for a program than him. Olstrom is a good recruiter but he is replaceable -

100% on Cliff too. He is special. I forgot to mention him. Bill is the most organized person I have ever been around. -

Cliff Marshall, Tim Garl, and maybe Bill Comar are the three that Archie really wants to have with him no matter what IMO. I think that Coach Roberts is really, really good, and that Tom Ostrom is a truly excellent recruiter, but it is normal course of business for successful assistants to move upward and onward on a semi-regular basis. For what it's worth, I listened to the Hoosier Hysterics looooong podcasts of their IUBB fantasy camp experience, in which the HH podster was head-coached by Bruiser, and of the extended (two hour) Bruiser Flint interview. My take? Bruiser is a really good guy. He is very savvy, with the context that comes from having been in the D1 game for upwards of thirty years. He is not a basketball coaching savant from a technical perspective. He had quite literally no relationship with Archie when Calipari recommended him to Archie and IU. He has as long and intertwined a relationship to Calipari as humanly possible. They are best buds through and through. He has been a good guy to have on staff, but is replaceable. -

It’s all about appearances if some random kid in biology 101 gets Covid it’s just another number on the tracking site. If a star quarterback gets it then it’s national news. Colleges don’t really care if the kids get it, they care if they get noticed having kids get it. -

The most dangerous thing about bars right now is COVID. The most dangerous thing about concerts is COVID. The most dangerous thing about street fairs is COVID. The most dangerous thing, by far, about football right now? Is ... football. Play this sport. -

I know of at least one current IU player who said Trey to IU is a done deal. Now, he could be speculating, but he could also know something. We shall see. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

He went 11-12 from the ft line today. Also a reminder he is young for his grade. I’m more impressed with him the more I see him play. If he ever adds a 3 pt shot to his game Watch out [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

4th and inches at the 45 yard line. Do the B1G presidents go for it or do they punt? Per ESPN's Heather Dinich, Big Ten presidents will meet this morning at 10:30 EST to discuss the football season. The two most likely reported options are postponing season till Sept. 26 or postponing till spring. -
