I guess it was a nice segue. National media has been awful forever and social media might be even worse. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Race is such a favorite of mine. He just plain understands how to play—sets screens , passes well, defends the post and perimeter, physical without fouling. If he can get a ‘keep em honest’ jump shot he’ll be so so valuable, and I think he has the form to do it.

This happened long ago, not a recent development. But yes, she’s a whacko and they certainly exist. The media wants you to believe one side is like her and the other side is like “pick a person”. The media is awful. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Tyrell Terry staying in the draft. One and done that was an IU target at one time. It was fun watching him at Warren Central where he was basically unranked on a team with Hurt and Zeke from Arizona. I asked some scouts that were there about him and if he looked that good all the time. Several made the comment that he will be ranked after that weekend. Good luck to him Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yep like a lot of young players he offers a lot. Think he needs to work on consistency but that’s to be expected. If he can play his best consistently. He will be good and will be a starter after TJD leaves

Considering what we saw from Geronimo it’s impressive to see Race win that. Hopefully he can bring his game to the next level.

    Coronavirus and Its Impact

I honestly hate politics and especially how it coincides with the media. I don’t know which is more crooked (both immensely). I don’t view myself as a liberal or conservative. I often argue points on both sides, as we all should but it never works that way. It’s clear from this thread what I believe about the Coronavirus but that’s not a umbrella belief for me. For me..... shrink the government immensely. Give money back to the people. NO more career politicians that have no touch with the real world. It’s a crooked world, folks. But find things you enjoy and screw the rest because the system is too large to truly stress about. Don’t watch the news for a few weeks. Talk to real people. You’ll feel better about yourself and the world you live in. That’s my opinion. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Thanks for that correction. Been saying that wrong for a long time. Not sure I’ve ever seen the word written before. Out of curiosity where do you get your news then? Local news is just national news with a different name. Same owners

Quite sad really. The media, and its many platforms, are after money. They couldn’t really care less how they affect society. There was an incident in 2005 where the media reported some horrible news. I saw the reports before responding to the incident. What they reported affected many families and was not what actually happened. I haven’t watched the news for more than a few minutes since. **** the media! I believe, new players, new skill sets, more options. Archie isn’t an offensive wizard, there is no doubt about that. Hopefully he can accumulate players that know how to play. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Yep. I’d been told his birthday was in February. But have never seen that confirmed. But found his birth year listed as 2003 a few places so it makes sense.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but I’m pretty sure just have to be 19 in the calendar year of the draft. So if he turns 18 in November, he’d be eligible for next years draft because he’d be a year removed from HS and turning 19 in that calendar year.

Reports that baseball may be finished by Monday should positive cases continue to increase. Manfred may be the worst commissioner in my lifetime, and that’s saying something considering he followed Selig. Steroids brought baseball back after the 1994 strike. What’ll bring fans back this time, aluminum bats?

    Coronavirus and Its Impact

If you think the economy had any chance of restarting then I guess I can see where you are coming from saying the Dems were just being political. But the experts were saying regardless that the economy wasn’t going to recover. This bill was going to be needed regardless. Flatten the curve or not. My former employer was going to be rehiring the quarter of its workforce it laid off. It wasn’t going to happen. These programs were needed. They are more imperative now that it clear that reopening was a flawed strategy. Were the democrats waiting to see how bad it was. Sure they were but they knew this was needed. It wasn’t an if it was needed situation.

If Sam Story says we’re doing football in the spring that’s pretty good confirmation we’ll be playing in the fall.

Those kind of pictures usually seem to largely be the product of lighting and a pre-picture pump, but those look like legitimate gains. Especially in the legs.

Age would also be a factor in TJD’s decision for a third year. He is old for his grade. He will be 21 in February. Staying a 3rd year would put him in the draft as a 22 year old junior. In my opinion I say enjoy TJD this year because I see no way he stays at IU for a third year. I’m guessing IU is planning like he won’t be there as a junior Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
