    Not affected by this decision. We will lose a few highlight reel dunks and also a plethora of maddening plays around the rim. From a chemistry standpoint, this might be a blessing in disguise.     I think this makes us better. I never warmed up to Justin Smith. Plus defender but absolutely atrocious on the offensive end. Also there were questions/rumors about his attitude Disrupting team chemistry. We need scoring badly at the wing position. Hunter will be ready to shine. Some won’t agree with me but I believe we just got better.

    Also, our lineups just shrank. I prefer that. I am not a large lineup guy. You can build a rotation out of 8/9 and be very successful. I feel the larger rotations don’t allow anyone any time to get in sync. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    Great defender, but never seemed to accept his role as defender and trash bucket getter. Will miss his defense, but I am SO happy we likely won’t have 3 nonshooters on the court together at any point now. So while we are losing defense, we are improving on offense with spacing. Also been reading for a while he butted heads with some players and coaches so maybe this will improve team chemistry. Good luck to Justin wherever he lands.

    I don't think it makes us better, he was a leading contributor to the team last year. I do see it as an opportunity for Race or Jerome to step up and contribute. Race being more of the bruiser and Jerome potentially adding some much needed scoring (especially from the perimeter). I have confidence they are up to the challenge. Thank you Justin! Kelley degree in three years is awesome and is a positive mark on our program! Best of luck to him!

When Brian thanked his parents and pointed out where there, just about everyone stood to get a glimpse of Jerry. A basketball legend. Dementia/Alzheimer's sucks ...

    I’d leave TJD at the 5. Maybe 3 guard line up with Hunter at the 4. Armaan spells the guards and Race gives the forwards their breaks.

    Agreed. Just being able to have a ball handler on the court at all times is going to be invaluable. Still think the real value here is the 21-22 season. If Trayce comes back we could be looking at a NC contending team.
