Are we having a 2019 IU Football Prediction League? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

He has been cleared to do everything but play games. Drills, workouts, and open gym scrimmages he is cleared for. Gut feeling is that is because there aren’t any games for a couple months and it’s the doctors way of saying he is working up to game shape. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Best comment in that is “why can’t we criticize Luck?” “Because he is a civil war veteran” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Is it no filter or no bs? I think he is full of bs. He doesn’t even believe the things he says, he just says it to rile people up and get ratings, that’s bs if I’ve ever heard it. You’ve even said, he’s and entertainer and that is part of his job. It’s a schtick then and most people are sick of it. There are just some people starving for Indiana sports info and he is one of a few that has a platform. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don’t see how a guy who can call Archie “Little Archie” and defend Alford is a “no BS” guy. Dakich is a “I’m right and damn the world” guy just like Bob Knight, but with a butt crack hair’s worth of his talent. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don’t think signs are going to change anything and they are delusional if they think so. How much time and money was wasted on this would probably blow all of our minds Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

From last years roster Jordan Brown David McCormack EJ Montgomery Immanuel Quickley Nassir Little Javon Quinerly Some of these kids never started a game last year and others started less then 10 games and 10 min a game. Each school in this case had older more experience players so they could ease them in. Nassir Little didn’t start one game last year and still was a first round pick. I don’t see TJD starting but I do expect him to play starter minutes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don’t know... I went to the heavily discounted NIT game against Wichita State... there were plenty of fans that needed to be smacked across the face that exact sign... The sign is lame and weird (definitely written by a PR person trying to keep it lighthearted) but it’s pretty easy to understand why the felt the need to create it. Check out Andrew Luck’s departure for Exhibit B... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

That's fair. I suppose what I mean (and his style is really not what I'm referring to....I understand how people may not care for that) is when it comes to information or analysis of a given situation, he's the one guy who doesn't toe the company line and he's willing to call a spade a spade. He's completely on "our side" as it relates to the Board of Trustees and Michael McRobbie. He absolutely wants Indiana to succeed, and he uses his platform to call out guys like Pat Shoulders for being the hack yes men they are. That by itself is why I've disagreed with those who've said he hates IU. I get that people are tired of the presentation. I truly do. And yes. He's an entertainer. His ratings are over the moon and this week? They'll set records. Exactly because he's willing to say something other hosts aren't and present a position that's NOT "Andrew Luck is a local hero and should be celebrated. Those who booed him are classless." That's the narrative with Kravitz, Doyel, Wills, etc. Not Dakich. And it's why he's successful. I posted the above interview with Christian Fauria to simply provide an example of the kind of stuff I love from him. Perhaps the "no filter" thing is more what I mean. I know someone else with a faulty filter.

For one thing, that sign has way too much text. Any competent athletic director can convey the same message in a lot fewer words. Stuff like this is why we aren't taken seriously in any sport.

    Kyle Schwarber - Chicago Cubs

Hopefully the weather holds up here; in 2 innings Schwarber already has a homer, a double, and 3 RBI off Syndergaard.

(2018) SF - Jerome Hunter to IU

From everything I’ve seen and read, it seems it will be a “do what you can” and then he’ll be closely monitored. I don’t think he’s “in the clear” just yet. It’ll all depend on how his body responds to different situations. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Old Friend: You like Dakich, and you like Archie. How do you feel about the disrespect Dakich has consistently shown Archie since he got the job?

We have a lot of different intangibles that could be VERY good for this upcoming season. I think a lot hinges on three big things: - Improved 3-Point Shooting - Progression of Justin Smith - Healthy and ready to go Jerome Hunter I fully believe this team will have better chemistry and be better as a team than last season. There will be growing pains, but if Justin can take the leap forward all of us expected last year will be huge because of the impact he can have on a game (see MSU games). Also, Hunter is a very good player and once he gets settled and comfortable in games, he will elevate this entire team. Very excited with slightly skepticism for this team. Can’t wait for the season (and IU football lol). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Can't see Smith being able to play the 3 unless he has drastically improved from last season. He has the physical abilities, but he can't really dribble or shoot.

It's sort of comical when you think about these 19 year old kids who go off and have to operate and work in a world for grown men, meanwhile they just want to crash on their buddy's couch after a night of hanging out and doing dumb stuff with their friends.
