    Went to the Reds/Cubs game in Cincy last weekend with the guys and stopped by Jungle Jim's. The Deschutes girl was there giving free samples. She did a good job because i purchased 12 of the fresh squeeze IPA, 12 of the fresh haze, and 12 of the juicy ale. Done! Highly recommended, easy to drink, refreshing on a summer night.

    Haven't posted anything lately but came across a really neat sub-genre called "Dirty Rock". Kind of heavy blues rock with distorted vocals. Spotify has a great Dirty Rock play list. Specifics bands to listen to: The Blue Stones, Royal Blood, Highly Suspect, Gary Clark, Jr..... Enjoy!

    I think the list being 13 guys that 'could' be considered is different than a list of 13 that 'are;. It's fun food for thought but not really likely to be accurate on the actual people being considered. And a list that lists Kenny Johnson and Dane Fife as potential hires isn't accurate. As they mention in the same article giving him as a possibility, his next job will be as a head coach.

    While I would agree usually a 38 year old has no chance. I probably would have said a 34 year old would never win the golden boot and golden ball. That being said I imagine Lloyd and Rapinoe both take a bow after next year. Hopefully with a gold medal.

    I am not enamored either. No way Kenny Johnson is being looked at. Jason Delaney could be a good fit for his in-state connections but that is what they said about Schilling too. Hard time of the year to find an assistant.

    That was obvious. He was a senior so unless he got a medical red-shirt (which I did not expect) he exhausted his eligibility. Never projected him onto next year's team and the red-shirt was a Hail Mary he did not get.

    Big Recruiting News: IU took on a guy from Samford in 1B Jordan Fucci as a grad transfer. Hit .306 with 15 HR's last season. Not sure he duplicates those numbers in Big Ten with stronger pitching, but do think he starts and even if he hits .280 with 8 HR's (that's what I expect) that is a boon for us as we need a good starting 1B with Lloyd and Bradley gone and this guy fills that for a year while young guys develop.

    I like the direction the Baseball program is going. 0.27 ERA is ridiculous! I assume he will primarily pitch? Finally, is it really appropriate for Pabst Blue Ribbon to sponsor HS athletes? ;)
