Good for him. His injury history sucks, but he seems like a great dude and a great guy with a degree is rarely a bad combo.

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU

Ok I’ve changed my stance a little bit in the last 24 hours on Watford after doing some detective work. So on a couple of other boards it has been rumored for a while by multiple people that the IU staff is very confident that they are going to land another big fish recruit besides Brooks. This recruit is bigger than Beverly too. It was thought to be Stewart but it wasn’t because he committed already. So then it was mentioned it was probably Watford or Hurt but supposedly this recruit has been in contact with TJD, Brooks, and Franklin. It has been stated in a couple articles that TJD had been talking to Watford so that lines up. Then tonight I looked on the Indiana basketball twitter account and realized that whoever runs the account had liked multiple tweets from Watford today about the MCAAG. I’m starting to think there is more to Watford and IU than we have been led to believe. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

My wife's 92 yr old Grandmother passed away earlier today. She was a great lady who raised 14 kids. 10 of them by herself when her husband died 50 yrs as go from cancer. It wasn't an easy life for after he died. 2 of her children committed suicide because of depression. She suffered a debilitating stroke 3 yrs ago.She welcomed me with open arms when my wife and I started dating and then married. I am going to miss her . Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

It's never easy to say goodbye to loved ones. At the end of our days on this earth we can only hope that we have had a life well lived. It sounds like you have that to celebrate and the wonderful memories made along the way.

“New NET rankings out today. Indiana now has 4 quad 1 wins and zero losses outside quad 1. Resume to date is tourney worthy. Their play questionable. Probabaly a 7/8 if season ended today. One win and things will look better” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Inclined to Give Archie a Break

I think the real impatience this time comes cause we had to be patient with crean for three seasons and have not had much success in 20 years. If archie was the first go around on this I think people would be more patient. Its probably not fair to him but thats why i think. At least for me it is. Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk

Inclined to Give Archie a Break

I’d agree on Fitzner and Thompson but that’s about it. Softness, IMO, is apathy mixed with fear of physicality. A lack of confidence is not the same thing, and that’s what I see with Anderson. He clearly isn’t comfortable and you’re not going to see aggressive play from a guy that feels out of place. That doesn’t mean he’s afraid to mix it up, it just means he’s afraid of making mistakes. Romeo has no problem putting his head down and driving into the paint. He rebounds and makes hustle plays as well. He doesn’t back down from physical play, he just hasn’t adjusted to certain aspects e.g. fighting through screens. Not unusual for a freshman. And I don’t think he’s apathetic either. He’s very good at maintaining composure but he has let the mask slip in the past. I remember it happening a couple times his senior year and it was clear the kid doesn’t like losing. As far as Rob goes, I don’t see where you can come up with TBD. I can understand questioning Romeo and Damezi, but everything I’ve seen from RP screams leader. He’s on the smaller side and obviously has no problem going at the rim (even when it’s I’ll advised). And how many freshman do you see that don’t hesitate to take the big shot late in a game? I’m not just talking about Butler; we’ve gotten a couple other wins that turned on a clutch shot from Rob. Hell, the only time I’ve gotten annoyed with Rob was the final play of the Arkansas game and that was because he was too aggressive. Jerome can obviously be labeled TBD but his high school career was promising. He had some of his best games against guys that were ranked more highly. Some might look at that as playing down to the competition but he never really laid any eggs. To me, that’s the sign of a competitor.

Penn brought her A game tonight. She had 28 points with 6-7 3's and 4-4 FT. Hope she saved some of that outside shooting for Sunday against Maryland

    Prayer Thread

This has been a really rough 10 days for Mrs. OF and our entire family. 10-days ago I asked you for prayers for my mother-in-law who suffered a severe head injury. I'm sad to report she passed away last night. The injury was just too severe and major invasive surgery simply not an option for a multitude of reasons. My father-in-law had to be moved into a memory care unit 4-years ago after being diagnosed with dementia. In January of 2017, he suffered a stroke. My mother-in-law has spent virtually every single day in my father-in-law's room for the last 4-years and for about the last 6 months, has fed him his meals as he lost the ability to use silverware. We will always believe that despite how far gone his mind was that he sensed his wife was no longer in his room and talking to him and he decided it was time for him to leave this world. When we told my mother-in-law that her husband of 72-years had passed away her words were "I wanted to go with him". And last night she did. When their daughter and I first started dating, they welcomed me from day 1 and I couldn't have asked for better in-laws. Really appreciate everyone's prayers and thoughts.

And Juwan is a senior and I'm pretty sure he was soft as a freshman. Myself would only call Evan soft, I think Romeo takes a pounding at times. Demezi should still be a TBD but being around his high school games no one called him soft.
