My hatred for Purdue?  Non-existent.   They do everything they can do feel like they matter; they'll copy Little 5 and This Is Indiana to make themselves feel like anyone gives a rat's @$$ about that school in West Lafayette even though no one outside of the state can even tell you where Purdue is (and no one in the state and outside of W.L. wants to know).  The highlight of their season is beating us in anything, it could be a Euchre game when we had two players that had never heard of the game (which is pretty much everyone not from Indiana) and they had tournament winners but it doesn't matter to them, they beat us so their entire year is worthwhile.  They are so obsessed with us they'll chant "IU sucks" when they're losing to an unrelated school in ANYTHING.  We are their Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals and Daytona/Indy 500 all rolled in to one but for us they are a stepping stone on our way to bigger goals and they know it and it kills them inside.   So no I don't hate Purdue.  I feel sorry for them.

I mean...it's like they try SO hard to be IU, but they're just the little brother. They do a bike race and try to party, or something. They try in sports (LOL). They try to attract the ladies (LOLLLL). They have engineering I guess, but we have like 20 top flight programs. It just starts getting pathetic.

  Thank you. I am not trying to offend anyone---I've always been a binge poster------I only come on the board a few times each day and download all my thoughts and respond to other posts in one sitting---usually at midnight or after work--or after games.  I don't think a 1000 word post would be very efficient or generate appropriate discussion on the individual points of discussion.  I do try to make each post a separate thought---but I WILL TRY TO DO BETTER COMBINING THEM IN THE FUTURE!   How's that ?   See---I am trying to be a team player!  :biggrin:   What I will guarantee you is that you won't find a bigger IU fan anywhere--period!   And that's what I thought this site was supposed to be about.

I will go on record as supporting Rebel as one of the better posters on this board and if his style was an issue it should have been handled with just a tad more class......

But I'll take a fake inflated ranking so getting 2 wins this week can catapult us into top 10 and serious tournament standing.

I read somewhere, maybe 24/7, they enjoyed it. I think Gunn said it was his second favorite trip to IU or something like that. Gunn and Scruggs have been to IU so many times I'm not even sure they meet with the staff.
