Great thread!   Call me old fashioned, but I am most interested in recruiting players who have an interest in becoming part of the fabric of Indiana University, not SOLELY using the program as a stepping stone to the NBA. I highlight solely because I think it's fantastic when they realize their NBA dreams, but I hope that there are many more dynamics at play beyond solely getting to the NBA..    In other words, Vic and Cody were "dream come true" additions to the program. I appreciate that Noah and Eric Gordon are high quality people and excellent players, but they aren't in the same tier.   However, Eric Gordon's continued connection to the University and the bball program is about as good as it gets for a one-and-done.

Who wants to stsy home in march? We get thst Crean can get kids to the NBA. Who gives a rip if he cant even make the damn NIT with elite players?
You're throwing me off. News flash:  They all want to be in the NBA, most aren't good enough to make it but that doesn't mean they don't want to be there.

He makes so much sense for the Cavs, a small forward (Deng most likely isn't resigning there), huge ceiling, and second best perimeter defender behind Marcus Smart. Embiid has way too many red flags
Your 2nd sentence just blows up your entire point. "Makes so much sense for the Cavs" is exactly why he doesn't lol. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    NBA Draft: Noah Vonleh

We got one the top Indiana high school recruit who is one of the best ones out there overall. Then Rojo who is a guy who is probably a 3 year guy and should be a good prospect. This was a solid recruiting class, just because we haven't heard anything big recently I don't but the huge struggles with recruiting some of you guys seem to talk about   Also arguably the top two shooters in this class. Which was our most immediate weakness last year

Also, how many do we have going forward? It won't matter as I don't see Crean making it to another class anyway. JMO:-)
This guy. I've been doing something called Tabata since May. It's basically interval training you can do at home. For example, I'll do it with running. You sprint all out for 20 seconds then walk for 10. Sprint for 20 then walk for 10. Sounds easy but after 8 reps or 4 minutes, you're spent. I then walk another two miles then do another Tabata 4 minute session. There's a few free music tracks you can download that helps you out. I've also done the same format with planks and push-ups. You can basically do it with anything. I'm 44 now so this is more feasible for me since my heavy lifting days are over ;-) It's supposed to spike metabolism/fat burning along with toning. I'm happy with it so far. With Kenny Johnson there now, I am not liking the vibe from the Gordon's.   I think we really need this kid at IU.   http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2014/06/19/eron-gordon-recruiting-high-school-basketball-louisville/11029001/

    (2016) SG Malik Monk
http://zagsblog.com/articles/kentucky-arizona-indiana-louisville-among-new-schools-in-mix-for-malik-monk/ Kentucky’s John Calipari, Kansas’s Bill Self, Indiana’s Tom Crean, Wake Forest’s Danny Manning and Arkansas’s Mike Anderson are among the coaches who have called the 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard since Sunday. His latest offers came from Wake Forest and Tulsa. Malik Monk lists offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Memphis, SMU, Tulsa and Wake Forest, among others. Of those six, he recently told SNY.tv in an exclusive interview that Arkansas, Florida, and SMU are recruiting him the hardest. But others are working hard, too. “Kansas has been on him for a while,” Marcus said. “They’ve been on him for a while. Kentucky has been very active. Arizona’s been active. They’ve started contacting him since Minnesota. Louisville’s been active.“And then it’s pretty much the schools that he has offers from, like Baylor, they’ve been consistent as well.”
he failed to mention IU or Crean and put out a bunch of names there. maybe he forgot, or maybe there isn't much talk in their household about the Hoosiers. Fans will be able to begin pre-ordering jerseys in August at the Hornets Fan Shop. Jerseys are expected to arrive in late September. Here's what I found from a post on their website.

ITH article from today about Spalding...   http://www.insidethehall.com/2014/06/19/class-of-2015-big-man-raymond-spalding-a-big-priority-indiana/   I found this part pretty cool -  “I went up and visited Xavier two days ago. I talked to coach (Chris) Mack, got to see the campus. It’s a great place up there. They do it big. They’re great guys, the players are great guys. Remy Abell, I followed him around a lot on my visit. He’s a very funny guy.”   Sounds like Zeller haha - “Coaches tell me that all the time,” he said. “I’m a nice guy off the court and sometimes I’m a nice on the court. Sometimes that needs to change over. The only way I think that’s going to change is on me and based upon the coach who is coaching me.”

(2015) DE Joe Belden to IU

I went to avon back in the day and I have a bro who plays with him. Kid has the body and build to do great things.....however, he needs to get his mind right and do the right things. Plays with emotions and can act without thinking sometimes.....on and off the field give him 2 years at iu to develop and he will become a force. Because he is a hard worker in the weight room and will do what it takes to become #1. Oh and he has a big family and they are all loud so looks like memorial stadium is gaining a big support group from his family!! #play13 #coachhep Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I've been doing crossfit for about the last 10 months now, never felt better.  I'm 29 and feel like I did when I played sports in high school.     I know crossfit gets a lot of bad press on the internet and what not, but I love it, and couldn't be happier with the results.  It's a great community, and it is a hard core workout.  Sucks while you are going through it, but it feels amazing when you finish and can see improvements in the workouts.

http://www.courier-journal.com/story/recruiting/2014/06/11/trinity-ray-spalding-louisville-offer/10350039/   He plans to visit IU on June 21. Top 5 in no order - Louisville, Indiana, Clemson, Xavier and Vanderbilt.    Indiana is strongly pursuing Spalding, and he said his relationship with coach Tom Crean is strong. They spoke before Wednesday's game.   "I can honestly say that's one of my best friends now," Spalding said. "… He tells me what I need to do each game and how I should play and how intense I should be."

    (2016) SG Malik Monk

http://www.insidethehall.com/2013/10/15/five-star-guard-malik-monk-talks-usa-basketball-indiana/ The 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard averaged 22.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game as a freshman at East Poinsett County High, but moved to Bentonville for his sophomore season. Monk’s older brother, Marcus, played at the University of Arkansas, which has already offered a scholarship. Baylor, Florida, Indiana, Memphis and Kansas have also offered. “They’re very interesting,” Monk said of Indiana. “I like the program and they wanted me to come to Hoosier Hysteria, but I was up here.” The No. 8 prospect in the 247Composite, Monk said he evaluates a variety of factors when looking at the schools who are recruiting him. When asked if the Hoosiers having two of the top four picks in the latest NBA Draft stood out, he confirmed that it’s a factor he’ll look closely at. “I look at that (the NBA) and the coaching staff and the teammates,” he said. “That’s most of what I’m looking at.”
