I think another thing to consider on the turn over the last two years is the quality of recruits Crean was able to pull in at first. The "movement" class Yogi aside has been disappointing.   imo, he took some guys early on whom he wouldn't take now. Some of those guys are getting passed by and going for greener pastures.
IU did not use Noah very well. Crean can't coach a big man. But congrats to Steve Alford getting UCLA to the sweet 16 in his first year there. He would have been a great IU coach.
Every single thread someone has to go off topic to rail on Crean. This is getting so old. We get that you hate Crean. Taking pot shots in threads that have nothing to do with Crean doesn't add to the conversation and just de-rails a thread. I could care less who likes or doesn't like Crean. If I wanted to know I would go to one of the Crean threads Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Not really that hard to figure out. Etherington is a wing on a team that already has younger, better wings and is bring a couple more in. If he wanted the chance to play a major role on a team, then transferring was the only way that was going to happen.   I do think Crean needs to do some serious thinking about recruiting so many guys who play the same position. It's hard to turn down more talented players, but Crean needs to find some balance. It's hard to have stability and continuity in a program when you lose upper classmen all the time. Experience does help on the court. Upper classmen, even as role players, can help steady and focus the younger guys.

We shall see Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Looks like he was being told his 5th year scholarship wasn't going to be there. ie he had one season left at Indiana not 2. Makes the transfer decision so much easier if you want to play 2 more seasons somewhere. His value is the highest it's been with his play this year. I'd look at Indiana State and Butler as the big players here. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

If Hollowell acted like he gave a damn on the floor, maybe more people would be up in arms about the possibility of him  transferring...   right now, so far, with the above names listed....I'm like...meh

We hardly knew ye.   Nice kid, but sorry;   Not a big fan of kids who pass through Indiana University with little intention of ever obtaining a college degree. Not Noah's fault - the system is severely messed up. Give me a team of Watfords, Hulls, and DJ Whites any day.

Hollowell seems to fit more in the "Snoop Dog" crowd than the VO crowd.

Ugh, people who comment on JH's demeanor on the court. I couldn't give a crap less what his demeanor on the court was, if he produced that was all that should matter. Granted he hasn't been terribly effective most of his career. But still not everyone has to be overly emotional on the court

Every year people freak out about our transfers and over-signings, and every year it works out. Water finds it's level. Look forward to what is to come. Yogi with another year of experience, Stan and Troy coming back better and stronger, HMP with another off-season of improvements hopefully even better than this last one, and JBJ choosing us over UK to come make it rain in the Hall. Lots of things to be excited about. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Excited to see what happens with Anthony Lee now. Crean appears to really want both Maten and Cunningham as well. These guys leaving, or supposedly leaving, really have yet to reach their full potential at IU and probably never will with the kind of talent in our 2013 and 2014 classes. I have to rationalize that this is still all a part of a program recovering... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I mean, is anyone really worried about this loss? Glad he helped get Cody but as Rayl pointed out we have so many wings already. He saw solid PT this year but turned down a lot of shots. Other than just personally liking the kid I don't see this as a loss that will affect the team very much next year.

Not sure what Hollowell wants... if he was producing in games he would get more time. Get your self-confidence up JH, play harder. play better.

(2014) PF Anthony Lee to OSU

It's been mentioned by "people in the know" that there is going to be quite a bit of turnover(bad word this year I know) this summer, will be an interesting off season for sure. Buckle up.
