If Chiles is out, their offense will really struggle to move the ball. If Chiles plays, their offense will really struggle to move the ball.

Got my sub yesterday as well. For anyone looking, HOOPS50 is a promo code to make B1G+ $6.99/month through December instead of $12.99.

Hey y'all. Ain't been on much for a bit now. Hope everyone is doing great. Got some great news and cleared by my doctor as cancer free and hoping it stays that way. 2025 IUFB Season

If you want more Cig content, here is a longish Cig interview with a national guy in Klatt. Starts around 26 minutes in. Nothing direct about the coach opening rumors. Just mentions the usual he's said before about Pam/Scott, IU’s strong commitment to date, liking Bloomington, and how we have to get football investment to a top third level in the conference.

Nothing new so far this week. All that has really been said is that he’s sitting down with his parents this week

    IUFB Transitive Score Estimator

We ventured into this highly scientific exercise last year, and it projected an IUFB victory over Purdud of 168-3. While the estimator was slightly off on margin of victory, it also underestimated IU's percentage of total points in the 66-0 victory. So with that in mind, I bring you the 2025 transitive IU/Purdoo score estimator: Indiana 63-10 over Illinois. Therefore? Indiana is 53 points better than Illinois. Illinois over Duke 45-19. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 79 points over Duke. Duke 45-21 over Cal. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 103 points over Cal. Cal over Minnesota 27-14. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 116 points over Minnesota. Minnesota 27-20 over Puredoo. So kudos to Purdud!! They are clearly an improved team, as evidenced by the BtownBanners Transitive Score Estimator (BTSE). This year's IU /Purdue BTSE: Indiana will beat Purdud by 123 points. Due to Purdue's improved offense, I'll go with: IU: 130 Purdump: 7

    IUFB Transitive Score Estimator

You guys don't believe in the transitive property to judge football opponents? I never used to, but I'm coming around to the idea. For instance? Indiana 42-28 over Maryland. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 14 points over Maryland. Maryland 50-7 over UConn. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 57 points over UConn. UConn 47-3 over Buffalo. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 101 points over Buffalo. Buffalo 23-20 over Northern Illinois. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 104 points over Northern Illinois. (see where this going yet, friends?) Northern Illinois 16-14 over Notre Dame. Therefore? Indiana should currently be favored by 106 points over Notre Dame. Notre Dame 66-7 over Puredooo. Therefore, when they play this season? Indiana should beat Purdud by approximately 165 points. I'm predicting a 168-3 final score. Hooray transitive property!

They do one like this every year lately. They played Trine from Auburn for like 2 years too. Maybe to get guys rest. I’m not sure the strategy exactly but it’s been a theme for a few years. Huge win tonight. The B1G turned out to be better than expected. We should be in a great spot if we can hold serve here on out. Brutally tough schedule this year.

For what it’s worth Mike Katic said on Mark Titus’ podcast that Cignetti wouldn’t be going to Penn State. He said Cignetti is a Pittsburgh guy who hates central PA and Penn State, and more importantly his wife loves Bloomington. Also of note is that Titus’ cohost is Brandon Walker who called Cignetti a coward on Saturday’s Barstool pregame show. Needless to say, Katic addressed that as well. https://open.spotify.com/episode/2hi5xXaUEvN4gA6KSUoR8z?si=eyhXl7UKTA2Wb-mbvvZWaA&context=spotify%3Ashow%3A0eJdYO923ory6MIvZpoSVV

If we go 12-0 gotta think Cig is coach of the year again. Ryan Day is doing what his talent is supposed to do. Cig is getting OSU results on a Boston College budget

    College Football Thread

I think the only reason for Domers to start worrying is if Ohio State opens up. I have zero reason to believe that Penn State is a better job than ND right now and from the outside, it appears that Freeman has completely bought in to everything that comes with being the ND football coach.

Congrats on the news! I have a bit to go after 2 surgeries in 2 years, but they haven't found anything so far after the last surgery 2 years ago. I am cheering for it to stay that way for you!

There is no reason for Cignetti to leave Indiana. He can make enough money to support his family for multiple generations, he has as much support and as solid a relationship with his administration as exists in college sports, he has a solid recruiting base, a huge budget for a stadium upgrade, more loyal and passionate support than any fanbase in America, he can win, he IS winning, he gets the transfers he wants, his wife loves Bloomington (and if anyone is dumb enough to believe that doesn't matter, just block them), and he's kind of the hill at a school where there's no pressure compared to Penn State, Florida, etc. NIL has evened things out. No program has the depth that for decades differentiated blue bloods from everybody else. Once? The 4th tailback at Alabama, who could start at 99% of other schools stayed at Alabama waiting on his chance. Now? He transfers to Texas Tech and plays. Indiana is getting those kids. They have 5* and 4* kids on their sidelines at every home game. Cignetti has exactly what he wants and if it comes down to money? IU has a $3.8 billion dollar endowment, 800,000 living alumni, and can pay he and his staff whatever he wants. Fear not, Hoosiers. He ain't going anywhere.
