If both of these teams were 12-0, it’d already be a cinch that both would be in the CFP. But Georgia has to win to get in. If they do, Oklahoma and Ohio State are screwed. I think that’d be incredibly funny

So if Georgia holds on to win this game(big IF) does Alabama drop to #4 and keep Oklahoma out? I have to think they do based on their absolute dominance throughout the season. So Clemson would play Alabama and Georgia would play Notre Dame?

Agreed. Georgia had a much better shot to win the CFP but won't get in. The fake will be talked about in GA for a long time.

I'm biased, as a long time Sooner fan. But I could make the argument this was a defacto playoff game for Georgia, and they lost. If you keep Georgia over OU or O$U then it's another year of listening to everyone whine about the SEC getting preferential treatment.

Maybe you're right and Bama puts up 90 on the OU defense. Or maybe the Sooner D makes just enough plays and we get a 54-48 2OT game like OU and Georgia had last year. As long as someone crushes Notre Dame, I'll be happy either way lol
