Camiel isn't at LT because he's starting at RT.

Yeah I know but usually it seems you want your best tackle protecting that blindside, and it's odd to me that they put a soph with limited experience there instead of the senior who's started the past couple years. They must really like and trust Knight.

Hawkins is on the team, we just have a ton of WRs. They love Brandon Knight and Coy Cronk, and Camiel is a good RT.

With Knight being a soph and Cronk just a true freshman that's awesome to hear. Sounds like they could be our tackles for the next several years. And with the way we develop linemen (thanks coach Frey), I can't imagine how good they'll be by then.

Official depth chart as of 08/26. No surprise, Lagow listed as the starting QB. Of interest, Devonte Williams behind Redding. Also Ben Bach starting at husky.

Mike Miller noted that KW's depth charts don't mean much, as Ben Bach moved to boundary CB.

@pdiprimio: IU coach Kevin Wilson said the defense won the preseason over the offense. Potentially that's a huge deal.

@pdiprimio: IU DC Tom Allen on the D: "Is it here we go again or do I put my fist in the air and foot in the ground and say, No, it changes today?"

Can't wait to see how the defense looks next Thursday!

We lack depth on the interior defensive line but I'm looking at the back seven and seeing some solid talent as backups. Thornton, Cook, Simmons, Brown, Sykes all have playing experience and figure to be heavy in rotation this season. Then we get Thompson back from injury who was showing playmaking ability prior to going down. Run defense may give up some yards, but if we can prevent the long run TD (our weakness last season), we should be able to continue to play tight in the redzone and get turnovers in the secondary and forcing fumbles.

I like what we have to work with this season.

At OSU- L

Vs Nebraska- L

At Northwestern- W

7-5...That's my prediction. But I could see us winning another game or losing two more.

Thompson, I'm predicting 7-5 as well. Exact same predictions except flip NW and PSU. I think we get hot at the end of the year as Lagow gets better and the home game against PSU is a better chance to win than at NW coming off of the toughest stretch of our season.

I'm with you though, we could easily win between 5-9 games, so much is unknown with how good Lagow will be.

I will explain wins.

Vs FIU-W (Ron Turner... Nuff said)

Vs Ball State- W (rebuilding big time)

BYE

Vs. Wake Forest- W (power 5, weak Power 5 team)

Vs Mich. State- W (I really don't think MSU will be great. I don't trust their offense and am not afraid like the past couple years)

At OSU- L

Vs Nebraska- W (toss up. But I think we win. Remember PU beat them)

At Northwestern- W (we hit stride and make a run)

Vs Maryland- W (payback)

At Rutgers- W (domination)

Vs Penn State- W (Franklin can't coach QBs and we see Michigan gameday)

At Michigan- L (close but no cigar)

Vs Purdue- W (ground and pound)

Very Optimistic. I would love to refine this after first three games just because I want to see Lagow before big ten slate but since some are doing this I will too! Very optimistic but I think Defense is improved. Top 50. Offense fires under big Lagow and our platoon of RBs gives everyone a headache. We end in top 25. We are a football school and get a top 30 recruiting class with swinging some 4*s.

Wouldn't that be amazing? I like your optimism! But only two losses? I hope you are right Lucel!

I like to be optimistic. I hate negativity and even tho I think we have better talent. I hate the negativity. Hate hate hate it. Yes we lost sudfeld. But I trust Wilson and what he has done and I don't think he would leave himself without a QB or two at his disposal. Especially after a nice extension. I believe in Lagow and Diamont and Cameron.
