This recruitment just doesn’t have the same pop that Romeo or TJD had for me. Like I really want KBJ on this team, like a lot. But I don’t think he is a can’t miss like those other two guys.

 

Maybe I’m just jaded from the insane fan base we have and tired of trying to follow the roller coaster yet again. But I do think that KBJ will be in Bloomington next year. Regardless I feel good about the program even if he ends up in the state to the south of us.

 

Also nice to see Yogi back in here.

Doubt you will see a pick from Snow. I see him sitting the CB out. He is the national guy most plugged into the Brooks recruitment and out of respect to the kid and family I could see him electing not to make a pick

I think part of the reason the pop isn't there is him playing at Lalumiere instead of the IHSAA.

Plus i think people realized just getting a top ten player isnt going to make us top 20. People are more realistic now.

If Brooks makes the trip to Bloomington on Sunday that will only help. I also believe if he does, him & Romeo could end up talking quite a bit. I also expect at least one of TJD/Armaan to show up to help a bit.

Nothing is set in stone with Brooks, but I do expect at least 2 guys to be there.

OK....question.  Secure KBJ and he stays lets say 2 years.  Or a 4 year impact player similar to say a Matt Nover.

Which would you rather have?

I would go with the Nover type.  I want upperclassmen....I want senior and junior leaders.  Build the program.  Guys that instill the culture on this team.  1 and 2 year players rarely do that.  That does not mean I do not want KBJ, but if Archie has a backup plan, and that plan nets us a solid 4 year player/leader.  I am ALL IN!

Therein lies the problem. There is a reason he is ranked so high and a kid is a four year player. If you can guarantee me a four year Matt Nover, I would take him. The probability of that is very small. The probability of Brooks becoming good enough to be a two year player is much higher.

Brooks on paper gives us the talent to compete at an elite level his second year. Gotta go with him
