I would say a class that includes Brooks, TJD, Stewart and one of Ramsey/Bouknight/Newman would go down as the greatest class ever assembled at IU

Would you maybe reconsider and call it as one of the best.  Abernethy / Buckner / Crews / May / Wilkerson weren't exactly chopped liver!

Indeed. Romeo, Phinisee and Damezi was a great start for the first class. Keion and TJD in the second class would stamp it

IMO, Cheaney, Funderburke, the Graham’s, Reyn, Lawson and Leary to a lesser extent, were also a very strong class, although Funderburke transferred quickly.

Maybe the greatest college class ever, non-Sam Gilbert division.

As did Lawson but I didn't bother to look up to see exactly how long he stuck around.
