Damezi scored 26 didn’t play a whole bunch Riley won 98-58. He didn’t play any minutes in the 4th

I think it would be cool for DA to face Romeo in state finals and for Riley and DA to smash!

Was hoping DA or Phinisee would have a big enough year to unseat Romeo for Mr. Basketball.

Riley couldn’t miss a shot and hit a lot of free throws. They had 98 with 2 minutes left and just held the ball

What an irony in this. At the very end of the report, the sportscaster mentions South Bend Clay in 1994 as the last city team to win a state title. Clay beat Valpo and Bryce Drew -- the fella everybody loves to hate here -- in the championship game. Valpo had something like an 8-10 point lead in the final minute but couldn't hang on. Clay kept hitting 3s, tied it, forced OT, then won in the extra period.

Link to Riley vs. Lake Central game. Quality isn't great, but better than nothing. I've never seen Damezi play and wanted to check it out for a few minutes.

He played fine. Yes his scoring was off  this afternoon, but Riley goes 10 deep. He did what was needed to help his team win, which they did handily. He also sat out large portions of the game due to their depth, which is a nice luxury to have when you have a short turnaround for tonights game.
