(2016) C Schnider Herard to Mississippi State

Recommended Posts

The comments on Scout weren't overwhelming:  "Herard is a power center, not a terribly explosive leaper nor a highly flexible, agile athlete. He gets credit from us for playing to his strengths, however, and his willingness to bang enables him to get the most out of what he currently has. Herard will need more experience and coaching, of course, but there’s no question he projects as a defensive weapon. Though hardly refined as a post scorer, his size and rate of progress bode well."

Herard cut his list from 34 scholarship offers down to Kansas, Texas, Indiana, Arizona, California, Mississippi State, SMU, Texas Tech, Alabama and Purdue.

Now that his list is narrowed down, Herard, a 6-foot-10, 260-pound big man, is looking to set up visits. Mississippi State is set to conduct an in-home visit on September 9th. Herard will then take an official visit to Mississippi State the weekend of September 12th.

Herard is also in the process of finalizing visits to Arizona and California.

Wish it was that simple. One currently available scholly?  That means they have room for more than one top 50 player.

I agree it's not that simple for sure. But, every little bit helps. We're still working with open for-sure scholarships, that may make a difference to some kids who don't want to see someone else lose their spot for them to come in. It also may not, I can't tell you how 17-year-olds think.

I'm just trying out being positive for once Stu! Why do you have to bring the real world in?
