Noah Vonleh to the Trailblazers.

Recommended Posts

I don't think it is 101% official bit probably 99%. The Trailblazers are sending SF Nicolas Baum to the Hornets for Vonleh and Gerald Henderson. I think it says a couple things. The Trailblazers are thinking that Aldridge is gone and the Hornets are drafting Devin Booker to play the 2. Look for more trades to come out of Charlotte and Portland.
This could be good if Aldridge leaves for Vonleh. He could be a starter along with Lillard, Matthews and Lopez. Unless the Trailblazers trade everyone like it's 2K15.

Reports have Charlotte taking Kaminsky at #9. At least that's what ESPN and Woj have stated.

I'd say that be dumb(which it is) but it wouldn't surprise me if Jordan and the Hornets made a stupid decision in the draft.

I have a feeling Noah won't be the only Hoosier traded from there after tonight.

I want Cody out of there. Jordan has no clue how to run a team. He has Kemba, MKG, Batum, Jefferson, Biyombo.. uhh... idk. But it's not good lol. He's a terrible drafter so I wouldn't be surprised to see him take Kaminsky. And after reading that he's fallen in love with him... even better chance he takes him. Please trade Cody MJ!

I think the Kaminsky pick was excellent for the Hornets. People forget that Josh McRobberts had a career year for them two years ago and helped lead them to the playoffs. Kaminsky is going to play the same role, but with more talent.

The whole Vonleh situation is interesting because essentially the Hornets coach said that Vonleh came out too early. They said he could barely grasp the playbook and was mostly lost on the court.

Vonleh was picked on potential. Which he has a ton of. The Kaminsky pick to me is odd. Unless they're planning to play him behind Jefferson for a year and then let Al walk. Kaminsky can play the 4 IMO. I don't think he can have anywhere near the impact as a Pau Gasol had at the 4.

Kaminsky is going to play the four. Like I said, when they were the Bobcats they made the playoffs with McRobberts as a stretch four and Big Al down low. McRobberts was easily their best player that year and led them to the playoffs. Kaminsky can easily come and and do what McRobberts did two years ago. Kaminsky will be able to draw defenders out and shoot the ball, he can also post up smaller defenders. I don't think Kaminsky will be a superstar but I think he will be a solid starter down the line.
What does Pau Gasol have to do this?

McRoberts wasn't the best player. That was Big Al. And McRoberts athleticism helped him be so versatile. Kaminsky doesn't have McRoberts perimeter skills at all.

Big Al was their best player but McRoberts' shooting ability was the difference maker for their team in their run to the playoffs. Kaminsky is a better percentage shooter than McRoberts so I don't see how McRoberts has better perimeter skills but I guess we'll see this year.

McRoberts could take some 3's off the dribble. Kaminsky won't be able to do that.

Except for the fact that Cody and Hawes are basically playing the exact same role as Kaminsky to varying degrees and with slight strengths and weaknesses in different areas. Kaminsky was a horrible pick, dude was a stretch, didn't fit a need, and the repetitiveness of the 4 spot on that roster is awful.

Yeah I agree about Hawes, but Cody has not shown much ability to shoot the ball. He still only gets most of his points in transition. Charlotte isn't too high on him anymore and it shows because they were looking to unload him. Cody is a lot more atheltic than Kaminsky but can't shoot it like him at all. The jury is still out on Hawes. He had a great year before free agency last summer but had a terrible year with the Clips, shot very poorly, and found himself at the end of their bench even when they were desperate for shooting off the bench. I agree that it was a stretch to pick him at 9 but if he wasn't picked at 9 he would've easily gotten picked by the Heat at 10 or the Pacers at 11. Heck several teams were trying to move up into the lottery to select Kaminsky (Atlanta being one of those teams)

I would be embarrassed if the Pacers had picked Kaminsky over Turner.

I wouldn't have been, the pacers have picked players that had a lot less upside over the years. But we'll see how Turner develops over the next few years.

We've picked Tyler Hansbrough once. Why do it again?
