(2017) C Mohamed Bamba to Texas

Recommended Posts

Can Duke get Carter and have a big or two stay on the roster from this season? Giving us a shot at Bamba? Doubt we even get a shot to convince him.

I don't like to be recruiting against KU unless we have a really strong connection. It gets even worse if KU is desperate.

Yep. KU kicks our tails in recruiting. Same as UK, Duke. We won't win straight up battles against these teams. We need dominoes. Kansas not getting Ayton puts a bit of a wrench in the domino effect.

UK will get Richards.
Bamba is a wild card. I see us way down the totem though.
Gak. Our best chance if Duke or Kansas back off.
Garza, it seems could be ours if we pushed hard.
Huffman seems UNC all the way.

'Unknowns' at this stage of the game for Centers is a scary proposition.

From Adam Zagoria:  The No. 2-ranked power forward in the Class of 2017, Bamba is considering Duke, Kentucky, UConn, Michigan, Syracuse, Texas and Harvard, although he never announced a formal cut.         https://www.sny.tv/college-recruiting/news/mohamed-bamba-working-with-group-of-7-schools-meets-with-duke-uconn/202425632

Always seemed a like a long shot to land him.

Chuck Martin was overrated.

Very overrated. Hardly had any impact whatsoever on our program. He will not be missed from a basketball standpoint ONE BIT. He got us in the door with a couple of kids but that is about it. Being IU we probably could have done that regardless.
