I would definitely take him at this point.  If we could get 10 minutes a game with him at the 5 and Holt or Troy at the 4, that wouldn't be too bad of a lineup with Yogi, Rob, and James in there too.

 

Plus he would only take up a scholarship for a year.

Obviously not the kid had 2 practices under his belt and played against Maryland I think it was over 3 scholarship players and all the walk ons.

Reading between the lines----it seems he was told early on he was not guaranteed a scholly for the grad school year so he started looking around----and it seems he felt he was "Beileined" because they have some BIG from overseas that they are waiting on to get qualified and when LeVert came back there was no more room for him. It sounds like they expected him to walk-on. A little chip on the shoulder can often result in extra motivation! I read through some comments from their fans and many of them hate to see him go because he was a solid contributor and hustled.

the first game he got into was not a blowout when he entered. And he joined at the end of the big ten season therefore lack of games played.

All Ive got to say is "Why not?". MSU always has kids like him in the post. They may not be super stars but they grind it out,play great defense, and rebound. Heck thats more than we got from Perea last year. I think he would be a great 1 year addition

A little interesting useless fact about max is that his future brother-in-law is none other then Myers Leonard (illinois center a couple years ago who plays for the trailblazers) he is marrying max's sister (well done Meyers). My brother in law lives in meyers hometown and told me that yesterday

Nice. I'm originally from about 30 minutes north of Robinson. (I've heard less-than-stellar reviews from people that know Meyers lol)
