Sad to hear this.

@GiveNGobball: The Passing of Sidney Wilson's Mother Adds Motivation http://www.givengobasketball.com/sidney-wilson-article

Thanks for the article, CC. Very insightful. I'll be interested in this young man and I hope he gets to Bloomington for a visit. I think he would find that the culture and atmosphere on campus and with the team aligns with his values and goals. I could see Hoosier Nation embracing Sid Wilson.

Most universities are "University of" so I don't get too bent out of shape unless they say it as commits.

Yeah Ive never understood why people are so anal about that here. Dumb in my opinion

Because we're not the University of Indiana. We don't chant "UI". Not being anal, being correct.

Yeah but all of us have been IU fans for years. Recruits that aren't aware of IU sometimes make a mistake with the name, not a big deal

‏@AdamZagoria: Player Blog: Sid Wilson Talks St. Raymond's, Recruiting.. https://www.sny.tv/college-recruiting/news/player-blog-sid-wilson-talks-st-raymonds-recruiting/168486602 @Iam_SidWilson

Earlier this year, I scored my 1000th point as a junior. If I remember correctly, I am the first in my school's history and that is a big accomplishment. I just felt so blessed to be able to be a part of history at my school and I was happy that all my family and friends were there to see me get my 1,000th point.

The schools recruiting me the hardest right now include Seton Hall, Rutgers, Indiana, South Florida, Fordham, and St. John's. They are the schools I hear from the most and show me the most love as of right now. All of the schools recruiting me are great and I just feel so blessed to even have a scholarship from any school.

Wilson's 2016 AAU stats.  He played in the 17U bracket and on the same team as Isaiah Washington.  Double digit rebounds in 4 of his 12 games and a good FG%

Still on the radar here.

Sidney Wilson had a solid showing for Brewster Academy at his first National Prep Showcase. The class of 2018 forward scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Overall, Wilson was happy with how the game went for his team.

Wilson decided to reclassify to the class of 2018 from 2017 this past summer. Since then his bigger schools have jumped into his recruitment. This is the case with a majority of the schools that are recruiting him the hardest.

“The schools recruiting me the hardest right now are UConn, Texas, Indiana, Miami and Louisville,” he said.

The New York City native will most likely be back in his old stomping grounds tomorrow for a game visit.

“I’m supposed to attend the Texas game when they play Northwestern at the Barclays Center,” he said.

One school is offering Wilson the option to play his college basketball next year.

“It’s an option, Texas has told me that I can go 2017 if I wanted to, but I’m pretty comfortable staying in the 2018 class,” said Wilson.
