Agler, Brooks, Stratman and Muensterman leaving IUWBB

Recommended Posts

Obviously there is more to it, and I have a relatively small sample size, but I wasn't really moved by Moren's coaching prowess. Didn't particularly look like the players were either.

And I thought she horribly misused Buss.

I felt no energy from the ladies w Moren. Not saying she's a bad coach, just total disconnect from players. Hate to wish for the past but liked Coach Miller a lot! Lots of comments on other boards regarding CTM and the team, not a lot positive there

Some good news, I just read this on twitter.

Very good news I was starting to get very worried about IUWBB. I hope Buss has a awesome career at IU. These unexpected coaching changes can be a real punch in the gut for players. I have personal experience at the high school level.

this isnt devastating to the team or program and it's way too early to call moren a bad hire.  she was successful at indiana state and u of indy.  sycamore fans were bummed to lose her.  after she recruits and molds her first cycle of players for her system, then we can truly opine and discuss whether she's fit to continue this job.  departing is an undersized playmaker whose role will be assumed by buss and two players who saw reduced or minimal minutes.  thats it, not as much as people are making it out to be.  the classes are more balanced now.  buss, walter, mcbride, gassion, cahill, royster, stratman, anderson is a rotation with ample potential.  could use another pg.  no reason that unit cant gel and improve on 15 wins.  it's not like the position or this program has pressure to win big.  it hasnt been to the ncaat since 2002; hasnt advanced past the 1st round since 1983.  the goal is to progress into a consistent competitor in a tough conference.  moren's programs at u of indy and indiana state progressed admirably and she's coached in several postseasons.  glass obviously thought she's earned the shot to achieve that goal.  progression will be easier if she and the players feel positive fan support, so i do too.

Liz Stratman transferring..

After sitting out a year, Liz Stratman was supposed to bring a front court presence to a Hoosier team desperately in need of one. It appears that won’t happen.

According to her father, Rick, Stratman asked for her release from IU Monday. The former Big East defensive player of the year from Butler will not suit up for the Hoosiers, and the 6-foot-2 forward becomes the fourth player to transfer this offseason.

With the transfers of Stratman, Larryn Brooks, Taylor Agler and Maura Muensterman, along with the graduation of Claire Jakubicek, the Hoosiers now have five available scholarships.
