Milan Sanitorium

Funny you say that- there used to be a mineral water produced in Milan, Miwogco.  It smelled and tasted awful (from family members- was gone by the time I was born).  Milan had a sanitorium (basically a spa, founded on the "mineral springs"), which was really beautiful (my great aunt Jeanie Stute was born in that building).  This and the Kohlmeier furniture factory were the two biggest buildings in Milan.  My great grandpa Clifford Winters had a grocery store in Milan, and at one point, worked with James Cash Penney, better known as JC Penney.   Makes me want to go back and visit (was just there for a funeral, but that's not a visit!).  Sorry for hijacking!  Love history!!

Thought this was fascinating too..... Of the 74 boys in Milan High School at the time, 58 came out for the basketball team.

Watched the game and Northwestern is loaded with long, athletic, and skilled players. I sure hope coach is looking at these players, especially the Layden girl.

Layden is special and has an offer. Her mother is the coach and won 3 titles @ Tri-Central. Dad is an asst.

Awesome time of year ... the start of Sectional play!   There are a lot of loaded Sectionals with ranked teams facing each other in the first or second rounds.

How many will be out watching high school basketball tonight or anytime this week?  If you are, where will you be?  I'll be at the 3A Boonville Sectional.  Loaded Sectional with 3 ranked teams, two of which play in the opening round unfortunately!

Center Grove up 11 at half. Probably should be 20. Martinsville has nobody that can guard TJD. Center Grove looked lost against the 2-2-1 press dropping back into the 1-3-1 zone. Martinsville coach was my old freshman coach at Terre Haute South. Ran the same thing back in 93. Lol

I'm sure its been asked on this board, but how does Jalen compare to the two oldest? He may be a player to watch.
