(2015) JUCO SG Mychal Mulder to UK

Recommended Posts

Ok, either Mulder is wayyy better than I thought he was or Cal is really struggling filling all the holes left behind.

I think I read somewhere that he was/is friends with or teammates or both with 2 5* 2016 recruits.

Sorry, was writing about Shaun Kirk .

I hear what you're saying and don't totally disagree. I'm sure it happens all the time, but IMO there's a difference between continuing to recruit a kid you've all ready offered and had hoped to land after he commits somewhere else, as opposed to not even offering until after he commits elsewhere.

While maybe not a big difference, it is a difference, though this is really an opinion thing.

I hate Calipari as much as the next guy, but I don't see what's so bad about that offer. Verbal commitments are meaningless and completely unofficial. Recruiting a guy after he's signed is one thing, but after he's committed somewhere? Nothing wrong with that IMO.

It's not a common practice in Basketball. That's why I posted.

That's like hitting on someone's fiancé just because they aren't married yet.

I really don't think so. It's not the most ethical thing to do, sure. But it's not terrible and he's definitely not the only one doing it.

Kids are so loose with verbal commitments that I wouldn't equate it to a "fiance" in this comparison. More of a "new girlfriend of a couple weeks."

Clearly this is an opinion thing so I guess I'll just leave it at that.
