winner tonight, whether us or them, will probably feel like they stole one.  ugly game, really.  wouldnt have been quite as ugly if several of our hard-hit drives werent caught.

nobody said wins have to be pretty... still count in the left column.  this squad isnt as potent as last year's, but it's just as gritty.  love it.

 

17 hits, 4 er, 0 bb, 13 k in 19 ip.  zero walks.  i'd say bunn is pleased right now, to say the least.  majority of opposing offenses will be weaker than stanford's.

 

get those brooms ready....

cal state fullerton is 0-2, defeated by south florida and alabama st.  yikes.

 

long beach state took the first two from michigan.

Game 2 recap

 

The Hoosiers are 2-0 for the first time since 2005, when they won their first three games and five of their first six.
 
Indiana has won its last eight road games dating back to last season and 15 of its last 16. The Hoosiers are 35-17 in true road games since the start of 2013.
 
Ryan Halstead extended his Indiana school record for saves to 25, appearing in the ninth inning to secure the win.
 
Indiana has given up zero walks in its first two contests.
 
Scott Donley leads IU with four hits through two games, recording a hit on half of his attempts (.500).
