11 Things I think I think

1. We are going to be in for some tremendous highs and some devastating lows this season.

2. We are going to need to score 80+ all year to win games.

3. We should never hold the ball at the end of games to milk the clock, our defense isn't good enough to risk not scoring in our normal offensive flow.

4. We go as JBJ goes.

5. This team has the makeup of a team that pulls off crazy upsets in the tournaments due to our shooting ability. Also has the ability to be one and done.

6. Opposing big men have already circled Indiana on the calendar and asked their coaches for extra tickets for friends and family to come watch them have their career night.

7. We may need to shoot 25+ threes a game to stay competitive.

8. We aren't as good as many thought we were prior to the game last night.

9. We aren't as bad as many think we are after the game last night.

10. 4 returning starters that can shoot for EW is a recipe for upset vs a younger athletic team that hasn't played together much. Not an excuse, but I'm not shocked by it either.

11. I'm not going to go back and proofread 1-10 so this might make zero sense.

I say take the opposite approach, although you may agree and just think it is not possible with our personnel.  Our focus needs to be on pressuring the ball by any means necessary and switching screens constantly.  Don't allow the opposing guard the chance to get the ball down low.

I think that's not a terrible plan. Crean can be happy we took away the three all he wants, but taking away the three to give them free access to the two isn't a great plan.

So far I have not seen anyone contesting a shot from the other team when they are attacking the rim. I see people just put their hands up and the player drives by for a easy layup, Its maddening!

#2 pissed me off. Seriously bring in a coach who can coach them up defensively without having to have someone like Vic on the roster
