I just saw a tweet from Chronic Hoosier saying that Covington tore his ACL during the Iowa game. I assumed he had gotten hurt, but didn't know what happened, like most I would imagine.

 

First, I feel terrible for the kid and hope for a full and speedy recovery.

 

Second, when did the injury happen? Was it right at the end or did he play on it for a period during the game or what?

Seems odd. CW was talk about him as the starter early in the week. Did they not know until midweek?

And wow, shoulder separation and an ACL tear in one game. Iowa lit us up in every way !!!

I had a friend in high school play 2 games with a torn acl that he didn't know he had

the trainers probably found it. it probably isn't a huge tear, but could've been much worse if he played with it again

I remember like 2 years ago or so Maryland had a qb epidemic and ended up having to play a linebacker at qb who played it in high school

Pretty sure that was just last year. Apparently they didn't have that issue this year.

Since Covington was brought in as a LB can we say that's what happened to us last week? I'll say yes :D
