I am really excited to see the great larry bird experiment play out, good or bad. If pacers do well, that is awesome. If they do poorly, they get a lottery pick and at least have an identity to build off of for the future.

But how will we keep the fan base if we suck? What the fans really want is a team that will never truly compete for the NBA title. We should keep drafting in the 8-12 range and hope that we might land another Paul George and hope this one's leg doesn't freaking snap in half. 

 

Some people actually believe this, or that this team just oozes potential, despite the fact that only two of our young guys are really worth anything
