College Soccer changes coming?

Interesting article in the Washington Post about the soccer season starting in the fall, going on a winter break and concluding in the spring. What do you guys think of the possible changes?

Sounds like they're putting the emphasis on making the transition to the pro level easier.  If it's better for the players, I'm good with it.  BUT, I'm a casual fan ast best and really don't know the ramifications of the changes.  I enjoy watching it, but don't follow like I do other sports.

My worry is that the first season has no real conclusion and kind of sits for 3 months before you move on with the Big ten and NCAA.

Let's just make college sports like Pro Sports.  Play 9 months out of the year and be done with it.  

I think it is crazy.
